I’ve used these tires for a road trip to Europe including a couple of days on track. On the road there are the normal compromises with track tires - namely more road noise and a more rigid ride, but in all other respects they feel like standard tires in normal day-to-day driving.
On track (in the dry!), once warm they give a massive amount of grip given that the car they are on is quite heavy at over 1600 kgs. The tires are also progressive on the limit with no snappy breakaway. I found a single lap of a 3.5 mile track was enough to warm the tires enough to start leaning on them fairly aggressively in corners. Note that the weather was above 20 degrees Celsius at the time and the track was quite warm. At no point in the 25 minute on-track sessions did it feel as though the tires were overheating and beginning to give that “greasy†feeling that you can get from normal road tires after a while of hard track driving.
I’ve only driven these tires once in the rain and it was on a motorway journey. There wasn’t enough rain for there to be any standing water, but the tires felt fine in these damp conditions.
I’d definitely recommend these for anyone who needs trackday tires for a reasonably heavy car. Over the course of driving 1800 miles, the tires have lost 2.5mm (having started at 5.5mm). This distance includes 500 miles on track.
