Nexen N Fera SU1 Reviews - Page 10

Given 100% while driving a Toyota Yaris (205/45 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 5,000 average miles
Very good performing tire, and a very good value for money. I changed from a car with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 to this, and they were like just the same. I've had the same confidence and grip, same silence, and mostly same general feeling.
For the money, I find it hard to go wrong, the price of ~60% of "premium" brands just make them best buy.
And after 6-7000km they are almost not worn at all. Maybe where the car is also very light, but anyway...

They are much better performer than the Toyo T1R that I have used to have in the past on the Yaris, although they will not lose the end that fast if you are used to drive around with the handbrake pulled :)

These tires were installed in my car when I first bought it over a year and a half. Overall the tires are very comfortable, not loud at all, and have a very good grip. However, they don't seem well built for hot countries (like the Middle East) as I found them wearing too soon with only 11,000 km~ so far.

Given 97% while driving a Mercedes Benz E Class AMG (265/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 2,500 spirited miles
Bought them for my AMG E55 and Im very satisfied! They are very quiet and have a strong grip! I can compare them like premium tires (Cont, GoodYear...) but the price is two times better than premium tires. When I had Conti tires, then I had problem with good grip (wet weather), wheels are over-rolling, ESP interrupt. With Nexens grip is much better.

Given 91% while driving a Fiat Bravo (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 3,500 spirited miles
I Honestly think the Nexen company is losing money on these tires to gain a market share in Europe. These tires are as good as Premium brands for half the price.

After reading several reviews I took the plunge and bought 4 of these. After coming from dreadful Achilles, they completely transformed the car.

Dry and wet grip are excellent. You can drive hard through Dry or Wet conditions with much confidence. They're very quiet as well

I dare to say wet grip is on par with Uniroyal, which they call the raintire. Aquaplaning is almost non-existent.

Road feedback could be better for me, but still very good. Sidewalls are softer than sporty tires. I have the XL version and inflated them to 2.8 BAR which works fine. No worries there as these aren't sport tires anyway.

No wear after 5000 KM. I have given wear a high rating, as they're still good as new. I still have to see how they cope after say 25000 KM.

Great tires for an even greater price: Highly recommended and I would definately buy them again. It feels like i've stolen my set :)

If you're reading this, you probably need new tires for your car. Don't hesitate and buy these: You'll be amazed.

Given 90% while driving a Ford S Max (235/45 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 3,000 spirited miles
I bought a pair of these after reading the reviews on here, and i'm pleased to say they live up to the reviews in every way. I was getting though Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires like no tomorrow, so i was on the lookout for a cheaper alternative as i was fed up on spending £120 per tire every few months.
The Nexens are every bit as good as the Pirellis i replaced. If anything, the only negative (if you can call it that) is that in the dry on hard cornering they squeal a little bit. The thing that struck me most is how quiet they are, the grip is excellent in both dry and wet conditions. I went through a large puddle in the pouring rain on the motorway recently, and instinctively gripped the steering wheel hard expecting the car to aquaplane and the steering go light. I needn't have worried, the grip was maintained though all the standing water and the car was rock solid.

So far i've done around 3000 miles on them and the tread looks as deep as when i bought them, so the longevity looks good so far.

In a nutshell, i highly rate these tires and will most definitely be buying them again. Oh, and i got a pair for the cost of one Pirelli. Can't beat that really!

Excellent all round tires, these replaced my continental sports at a third of the cost. In the wet they do not loose grip, they perform exactly the same as the continentals and michelin I had before. very happy all round.

Nissan Micra (185/50 R16) on mostly motorways for 1,500 easy going miles
Bought these budget tires for a Nissan Micra and was compelled to write this review as this tire is so un frickin believeably quiet. Honestly it's like driving a different car. Great tire for the price.

very soft and noiseless tires priced in the lower range, unfourtenately the roads in my country Moldova Rep. are very poor, they come in 50 shades of grey nearly all the time, so my only fear and may be a disapointment is the soft sidewall of the tire as it can get damaged in no time. If the roads were in a better shape, this potencial problem wouldn't even exist. Never the less i like my tires a lot, definnitely way better than any chineze tires, or turkish tires, even thoe there are tire manufacturers that build better summer tires, they don't come close to the nexens price. NEXEN=compromise

Given 86% while driving a Saab Automobile 9 3 Aero 2.8T V6 (225/45 R18) on mostly country roads for 2,000 average miles
For the money they are a great tire. I had super budgets on before and they were ok, these are much more refined- much less 'crashy' and make driving more comfortable. I've covered a couple of thousand miles through winter and the rain and I drive with confidence. I will defo buy again- Saab 93ss V6.

Given 81% while driving a BMW 635D (245/45 R18 W) on mostly motorways for 5,000 average miles
Seems a really good tire, plus very reasonable price (£58 each for 245/45/ZR 18!). Used to replace the dreaded RFTs, they're very comfortable, grippy wet or dry (and the car has a ton of torque) and much quieter than the noise label would suggest.

I bought them because the reviews were generally very solid indeed and that's how I would describe this tire; solid value and definitely one to buy again.

Put these tires on both the front and the back to replace the original run flatts that came with my originally and was deeply impressed. Great improvement in feedback, grip and economy. So far they've done 15000 miles and the front look like hey still have another 3-4 mm left before the limit only just replaced the backs with a real budget tire as a screw driver mysteriously found its way into one of them. But before that they had around 3mm left.

I had duran tires before I had nexen su1 put on front. The handling is good, braking is good, and so far the wearing is good. As it is still to early to rave about them I will give them the thumbs up. My presara is quieter on the road with positive traction
