This is my second review of these tires (first one mondeo ST) this time round on my insignia diesel. I have been more than happy with the performance of these tires in the dry, wet and snow. Infact they did brilliant in the snow during the beast from the east. However on this car and the mondeo they lasted no longer than 7000 miles on the front axle which is very disappointing. I still have 6.5mm on the rears so they should last a while on the rear.

These tires were fitted to the car at the front when I bought it.

Without doubt these are the worst tires I've driven on. Grip is ok in the dry, but they down right dangerous in the wet. Zero feedback from the wheel, an alarming amount of understeer and also a lack of resistance to aquaplaning. With 6mm of tread on them I was reduced to 45 mph on the M61 to stop it sliding off the road. The lack of grip is so bad that the car will light it's wheels up in third at 60mph on a damp motorway without using the clutch.

Also wet weather braking is atrocious and changes in tarmac type can have the car skipping as the grip level changes and the tires react. Not a confidence inspiring tire at all.

Honestly to everyone saying they are ok and they saved me money, that's fine until you find yourself in an emergency situation. Yes I drive a little faster than some but even if I drove slowly I'd be wary of fitting these due to the braking and wet weather ability. Definitely worth paying the extra money for a premium brand.

got 19 inch rims,full set premium was touching £600,shopped on line and found these rovelo tires,got them fitted at national tires the fitter told me with the miles i do every year approx 3,000 and imno speed king the tires should last 12,000 miles cost was £240 a big saving,everything seems ok just see how long they last if its four years ill be very happy.

I don’t know if it’s the combination of the tire and the Ampera, but these tires (pair on the front axle) seem to have little grip, either under braking or under cornering. It’s noticeable as the loss of grip triggers the Ampera traction control to intervene before the drive becomes even slightly spirited. I’ve never had this situation in the past and don’t drive the Ampera harder than other cars, in fact quite the opposite.

I needed two tires for the back of my Mercedes, and after reading lots of reviews and not wanting to spend lots of money, i bought two Rovellos for £110 (all included). I can only say that i am really happy with those tires. The grip is good, the confort two, do not notice any road noise out of the ordinary. I have had this tires on in lots of snow and rain this year, and with careful driving they performed really good. Will buy again.

Needed a tire after suffering a puncture caused by a self tapping bolt. Not having a spare I had to have whatever was available at National tires which turned out to be a Rovelo rpx988. I was concerned as it's a budget tire but I needn't have been as the tire performs really well in dry and wet conditions. I drive hard but not as if I'm on a race track, unable to comment on longevity at the moment but for the price if it achieves 12k miles I'll be more than happy. All up I think it's safe value for money.

Got these on my 2nd hand Fiesta St on the back two tires. Have two middle of the road on the front and i feel when going round roundabouts at even slowish speeds i can feel these start to slide out at the back. The front hold fine even with the power going through them. In the dry if you drive hard you can get it out reletivly easily but in the wet they are nearly useless. Would never consider them again. Well worth paying a bit extra for the extra saftey you get from a better tire. I never thought tires made as big a difference until i tried these paired with a good set. Night and day.

Got a Michelin primacy 3 tire as default fitted to this new Honda HRV. This tire didn't last long about 1.7mm when I did the first Honda service at 12,500miles. I've done a month of research and decided to purchase 2(front) x Rovello for £48 per tire inc. fitting. To my mind I could replace my tire 3 times a year to equal the Michelin cost. To my surprise it really didn't disappoint me. Braking was good wet and dry better than Michelin. My MPG went up high too from average 57MPG to 63MPG. Checking the thread depth seems to hold after 3000 miles on a country road commute(30miles/day).
I'm soon to replace my 2 rear tires and I'm definitely going for the same Rovello brand again than the overpriced, overrated Michelin. I'm certain that Guandong University is doing their homework well in creating and manufacturing this affordable yet reliable tire. Mostly, your money goes into EU regulation than improving the reliability of European tires like Michelin. So I definitely recommend this tire and you won't be disappointed.

Replaced michelins which gave very poor mileage with a set of these. Done about 3000km and found dry handling and grip good and only marginally poorer than previous Michelin and continentals. Very good under very hard braking, limited wet mileage but appears no worse than the Michelin. Excellent value for money and quieter and more comfortable than the michelins. Time will tel about longevity but I would definitely consider buying them again

When my previous front set of Goodyears were at the legal limit and I was short of cash, I searched for a budget tire to get me through the winter months thinking that I don't push the car hard on cold wet roads anyway. These Rovelo RPX998 had quite a few good reviews so I took a chance and put 2 on the front of my CLK500. One warm evening, I made the most of some quiet country roads and opened up the throttle a little. The CLK500 has a 5.5L V8 and well over 300 BHP. Although I wasn't pushing the car to it's limit, I was very impressed at how these budget tires seemed to be just as good as the previous high quality branded set they replaced. Great feel and feedback (although with Mercedes power-steering). Very good grip and road holding. I had the 92 Extra Load spec so the side walls should be stiffer than standard. Keep in mind, the Merc is rear wheel drive, and the 2 Rovelo's were on the fronts so they only had to deal with steering and didn't have to handle putting the power down. But they have really impressed me, even on cold, wet roads they seem just as capable as my old Goodyears. And when you consider I bought 2 (fitted) for the same price of 1 Goodyear, they are fantastic and I would highly recommend them. A very good quality tire.

I have now been driving on these for approx 2000 miles in mixed weather conditions and can honestly say that I see no difference between these tires and the Yokohama tires that were on from new. I was very cautious when I first got them given that they are a budget tire, but I now have every confidence in them and am happy to push them just as hard as the previous ones. They are still fairly new so I cant comment on how they wear, but the saving is certainly worth it.

These were fitted to the front of my Pug 508 when I bought it. They had done 3000 miles when I bought the car. They are pretty good in the dry, but a little slippery in the wet. I've since done 5000 miles and they are pretty much worn out. Reasonable value for money as they are very cheap, and much better quality than say Wanlis. Main reason I'm unlikely to buy again is the short life (8000 miles).
