Vredestein Snowtrac 3 Reviews - Page 2

Given 100% while driving a Volkswagen Golf (195/65 R15 T) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
This tire is very well...highly recomended. I'm driving it on vw golf mk5 1.4 80hp. driven on all types of road, dry, wet, icy, powder, fresh snow, ice and snow, -17C in winter condition. tire gives very good feedback on the snowy road. So far the wear rating is on maximum cuz i have only 1000km with them. HIGHLY RECOMENDED...

Given 66% while driving a Ford Focus (205/55 R16 H) on a combination of roads for 3,500 average miles
Had tires on now for around 2 1/2 months on focus - moved down a size from 205/50/17 to 205/55/16 on new wheels.

Not pushed hard in dry or wet but move to higher profile and winter tires gave a softer feel to cornering and ride. No significantly different noise - other than do appear bit noisier when cornering at slow speed - sound a bit knobbly.

Recent snow? Braking in slush, ice or snow amazingly better than normal summer tires - can actually brake quite sharply before abs kicks in. Most impressive aspect.

Traction - good, wheels spin but gets up to speed competently

Cornering? - No problem, predictable never out of control even when pushed.

Would I recomend winter tires, yes, buy these again yes.

Fantastic tire in the wet, has more grip than Falken ziex 912s in the DRY.. no where near as much grip as the toyo t1rs in the dry and warm conditions, but great in cold dry conditions aswell.
The tire has allowed me to go for "spirited drives" to the yorkshire dales all winter giving great confidence in cornering and under brakes.
Obviously as its a winter tire you do feel quite a bit of tread movement when you first put them on which can feel like they're transitioning to oversteer, but they aren't!

Fantastic tire for driving in British winter conditions. I've used these for the last 2 winters and driven in all conditions whether it be on sheet ice, packed snow, fresh snow, frosty roads etc etc and these tires are just fantastic. If there is snow on the road and any sort of gradient then you can just drive around other cars which ordinarily would be steaming off into the distance. My car was scary on summer tires in the winter, but on winter tires it's a pleasure to drive in any weather conditions.

They're fantastic in the wet and you can drive through deep puddles and the car just steers straight and true.

Great tires, bought for the new snowy Brighton winters and for driving over to the Alps each winter. Can't praise them enough. Better in warm weather than my old 175/60R15 standard tires, and really good in the winter snow, even good on ice if you know how to drive properly.

Outstanding winter tires.

Driven on a lot of snow and ice this year and the difference over standard tires is amazing.

Never got stuck and hardly spun a wheel all winter. It got to the point where I went looking for a challenge in the snow just to test the tires.

A little noisier than standard tires and a slightly firmer ride.

Small price to pay though for turning my Clio into a 4x4 challenger.

Purchased these back in September and have had them on the car since October. Found that they are quieter than the standard Bridgestone tires and have improved fuel economy by an average 4mpg. In the snow these tires are excellent, never once have I been stuck they always pull you out of even relatively deep snow and give you a lot more confidence in braking and cornering. I'd recommend these tires to anyone they do everything Vredestein say they can and even better than that they give you a bit of confidence in knowing what the car will do. Will definitely buy again but that may be a while away as they are wearing fairly slowly so I should get another 2 winters out of them.

I tend to be sceptical about claims for tires however I decided to buy a pair of these tires and give them a try. Fitted them this week in time for the snow my first impression is they are superb no slipping, sliding or feelings of trepidation they give the car a very sure footing.I would recommend these tires unreservedly to anyone who wants to add a bit of control over their driving in the snow and ice.

Was not sure of the difference these would make, but now i'm totally converted to winter tire use.
These tires are absolutely amazing in the snow and i can now drive up and down hills where other drivers are getting stuck.
I would recommend these tires to everone.
