Yokohama ADVAN Sport Reviews - Page 3

Given 50% while driving a Honda CRV (245/45 R19 W) on mostly motorways for 8,000 average miles
Tire seemed to be good all round. It's on a 4x4 so not so easy to push to the limits. However, 80% of the driving has been done on motorway and after 8k miles they are worn out. Not good!

This tire was on sale. I should have gotten the Michelin PS-2 instead. Dammn! I noticed a reader here claiming his tire to have no noise. Have you checked your hearing lately or did your engine drown out the tire noise?

Given 43% while driving a Mercedes Benz E270 (245/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 1,300 average miles
Got the Advan V103 on my Mercedes. Before was Michelin PS-2. Only reason I got the Yokohama V103 was because of the dealer pushing it and it's cheaper price as compared to PS-2. After 1300 miles of running in, I regret not paying a little more for a set of PS-2. It is noisier and give a hard ride no matter where you go. If you want to use your car for everyday driving to work as well, forget the Advan V103! I guess the only people who won't be complaining are those with cars fitted with loud exhaust pipes or sound systems fully turned up.

Given 87% while driving a BMW E92 335i (265/30 R19 W) on a combination of roads for 6,000 spirited miles
Best tire I have used to date. Better than the PS2 and Nero tires in all accepts. This tire loves to be pushed to limit and is very predicable when at the edge with very good feedback. The Advan sport grip is far superior to any high performance tire in fall and spring temperatures. Wet weather performance is extremely good and almost rivals the dry performance. The tire produces almost no road noise at all.

Given 81% while driving a Honda Accord (/ R) on for 0 miles
The Yokohama Advan V103 is more superior to my old Michelin Pilot Sport 2! period! It grips equally well in the dry and almost as good in heavy rain. (I skidded twice before on my Michelin PS 2. Fortunately the DSC and ESP saved the day) It corners just as well as the Michelin PS 2. The bonus part is the Yokohama v103 run much quieter than the Michelin PS 2!!! Ride is more softer too making this tire an excellent everyday tire to use and the occasional spirited weekends when necessary. This is one fabulous safe tire at any cost for the whole family.
