Replaced my Conti sport 3 with these GY Eagle F1 following excellent reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Got them on the internet at a good price and very pleased.
Very quiet ride, very responsive and sure footed. I'm a careful driver so must admit these are not being driven to their limits but I have total confidence that if I need to stop quickly or corner sharply then these will deliver..

I have always liked Goodyear Eagles having had them on a number of previous cars but I have to say that these have been quite bad on road noise and have not lasted anywhere near as long as I expected. I have now fitted Michelin Pilot 3's and there is a drastic reduction in road noise and feedback appears tgo be improved.

Given 99% while driving a Audi A4 (235/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 5,000 spirited miles
Superb tires the dry grip is very impressive in a straight line and going in and out of bends. Wet grip is the best I have yet experienced in a staright line and going in and out bends gives you so much confidence to push the car a little more and very progressive on the limits too. Never experienced any problems or aquaplaning and shifts standing water really well. After 5k of use still have 7mm tread on the front and no wear on the rears.

Given 81% while driving a Ford Focus ST (225/40 R18 W) on mostly country roads for 8,000 spirited miles
A very good tire for the price. Have lasted around 8000 miles on the front axle, which included a mix of motorway miles and a fair few spirited miles on A & B roads. Also includes one trackday! Good in the wet - have never experienced problems with aquaplaning. They can tramline quite extremely when the tread reaches about 3mm.

Given 90% while driving a Lexus GS300 (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 250 easy going miles
The Lexus GS is often marked down in reviews for poor ride quality and road noise. Both these issues are greatly improved, and perhaps completely solved, with the Goodyear F1 Assymetic tires. Mine was supplied by Lexus with Yokohama Advan tires, which gave a hard bumby ride and loud harsh road roar on course road surfaces. On changing to Goodyear Assymetric tires one hardly recognises it as the same car. The ride is smooth and softer, and tire noise is only significant on course surfaces at motorway speeds but even then is not harsh. Its a transformation, and it only surprises me that Lexus chose tires which seem so poorly suited to the car, leading to unnecessary criticism.
Lexus is about stress-free luxury motoring- I dont drive like the Stig so I cannot comment on grip with these tires but other reviews give them good marks on that issue as well.

These tires came into their own the other night when on the motorway at 4am it suddenly started to absolutely hammer it down with rain at 100 mph + these were as sure footed as ever and so stable gave me so much confidence. But then the down pour got so bad I had to slow down to about 60 mph as the car started to aquaplane as the motorway was soaked and it was difficult to see due to so much hard falling rain. Eventually the rain tailed off and I got onto a decent stretch of country road and again I put these tires to the test and they were superb complete confidence in high speed cornering and very progressive up to the limit. I have read lots of reviews of the wet capability of this tire and have now had first hand experience was extremely satisfied with the performance excellent tire form Goodyear.

Given 62% while driving a SEAT Leon FR tdi (225/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 10,000 average miles
I fitted these tires as a replacment/upgrade to the front goodyear excellence i had on. grip was better but wear was worse! absolutly lethal in temps under 5 degrees as they went rock solid, shame i put them on in october for the duration of the big freeze. summer tire!!!! they may have worn more quickly due to the conditions really really dangerous on cold icy roads!!! great on dry hot roads witch would account for no more thana 25% of my experience with them!! i am replacing the whole set of tires for toyo proxes t1r's due to price and the look of them! i dont drive the car as much as my partner and i dont drive aas fast! i cant justify payin ?260 for two front tires at kwikfit when they last 10,000 short miles (yeh you can get them cheaper and all the rest!!!) so do it!!! great tire for fast summer driving not good for taking children to school in winter!!! 90% of time you won't feel the benefit of them over the normal harder wearing goodyear excellence!!! imo.

Just replace my RE050 for a full set of the F1 Assy's - really am happy with the choice, great value for money and extremely quiet.

IMO - perfect for my Subaru and will buy again.

It is early days yet but so far the tires have transformed the steering and stability of the subaru impreza wrx they are fitted to.

They inspire a large amounts of confidence cornering at speed in the dry and wet.

Compared to the yokohama s drives fitted previously they are grippier, quieter and more comfortable to drive with. The tires feel a lot more progressive on the limit in both dry and wet, allowing minor adjustments from the feedback before tration is lost.

Only driven a few thousand miles on them so it'll be interesting to see how fast they wear and what performance is like on lower treads.

I would buy again just on the wet grip levels alone! After all we live in britain and it does rain far too much.

Maybe a sports diesel that is used all weathers, most days, is not the 1st choice of car for these tires but I expect my vehicles to perform whatever the conditions and hence fit tires I expect to give confident and secure handling characteristics. Purchased the asymmetrics' in April 2009 After 2 sets of F1 GSD3's and have been disappointed in their performance, particularly compared to the previous GSD3's,they were a far superior tire for feel and grip in a wide range of conditions. The 1st impressions of the asymmetrics' was favourable but as the tread depth fell below 6mm they have deteriorated noticeably to the point I find the 4 wheel drive system & stability control struggling to keep effective control on occasions, limiting my speed of progress whilst still not feeling secure . This has been very noticeable through some sharp bends & hairpin drive over regularly, with the GSD3's I used to turn the stability control off and enjoy, with the asymmetrics' I simply daren't.

Given 83% while driving a Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk 5 (remapped 270 BHP) (225/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 12,000 spirited miles

These tires are the best I've ever had in my 30+ years of driving, the grip is amazing in the wet they give you so much confidence you can throw it into a bend and you know your going to come out the other side, it's like being on rails or in a mid-engined sports car.

With the extra power from the re-mapping they're not going to last too long but I would definitely buy these again!

I had to cover a few hundred miles to work straight after getting these fitted. For some reason sat nav decided to take me the scenic route. What a test! I was blasting round them B roads like i've never been able to before! The Goodyears soaked up the road like nothing i've ever expericed! I had Bridgestone S-03's before sticking on the Goodyears (after reading the user reviews). Totally Transformed the car! I cannot believe the difference! The steering is lighter, much much more precise and NO tram-lining at all! (had terrible tram-lining with the S-03) they soak up the road like a sponge (S-03's crashed over bad roads) and are super quiet! Buy Buy Buy!
