Hi, I've done around 500km on new Turanza, mainly in city. I've got Mondeo mk4 1.6TDCI after chip. I've used previously Vredestein Quatrac Pro. I've have tested so far Bridgestone on the dry and wet in 20-5C. So far they more comfortable than Vredestein Quatrac Pro, noise is around the same (so they rather quiet tires - I've been using 225/50 R17 (not a standard Mondeo mk4, but similiar size (a bit bigger than standard 215/50R17 and smaller than next standard tire 235/45R18))). This is the initial review as I have done only a few hundreds of kilometres in autumn wet and dry conditions. The tires have surprised me with comfort. Even with relatively low profile of the 205/50 R17 size they feel comfy and soft (which can be both good and bad thing depending on the situation). In the wet they feel safe even at motorway speeds and heavier rain. In the dry they are much more comfort oriented than handling oriented. There is no noticeable tramlining with these tires. This page has been developed using tire industry testing best practices. This means we are only comparing tests which have had both tires in the same test.

Why is this important? Tire testing is heavily affected by things like surface grip levels and surface temperature, which means you can only compare values from the same day. During a tire test external condition changes are calculated into the overall results, but it is not possible to calculate this between tire tests performed on different days or at different locations.

As a result you will see other tests on Tire Reviews which feature both the %s and %s, but as they weren't conducted on the same day, the results are not comparable.
