175/60 14 Tire Review Highlights

Uniroyal RainExpert rated 83% while driving a Peugeot 106 s16
Driving on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
- slight defects on dry hot asphalt.
very soft sides.
feedback is a little bad.

+ perfect tire for rain
today in the heaviest downpour and floods I easily drove 130 km/h on the highway (the car does not have electronic aids such as abs-esp and similar toys).
I definitely remain loyal to Uniroyal for daily tires

Goodyear UltraGrip 9 Plus rated 96% while driving a Nissan Micra
Driving on mostly town for 2000 average miles
I have a Nissan Micra, so there's a relatively limited range of tires available for 175/60R15, most of which are older models. So a reasonably priced brand-new Goodyear was a pretty obvious choice when I needed new winter tires. And they haven't disappointed. The Micra feels like a whole new car, with far better traction and handling than the Semperit Master-Grip 2 that were fitted before, and braking distance and overall performance seems to have improved as well. I can't comment on severe ice and snow, as we didn't have too much of that this winter, but traction was very good on one icy day and it handled moderate snow cover with ease. I haven't driven too much on rural roads or motorways, but handling was fine and the tire seemed quieter at highway speeds.

Falken Sincera SN832 Ecorun rated 94% while driving a Opel Corsa 1.2 80Hp
Driving on a combination of roads for 9945 spirited miles
i have them about 2 years, no flatsup to now, i like thm very much on dry roads they have a very good grip, in the wet i can say they are best i have ever fitted, they do pinch on fuel than other brand's i had, but i do not care as i always had a heavy foot, my house is on a very steep one way road, this is the only tire in winter i do not get a tire spin, it only spins on cold rainy days but not much, with other premium brands i could not climb the hill if i didn't control the throttle, hope this company does not change the tire quality because i will fit them again, i have never fitted the same tire twice, as i have the steep road as my personal tire test

Falken Sincera SN832 Ecorun rated 91% while driving a Hyundai Getz
Driving on mostly town for 5000 average miles
Not a premium brand but they are even better than others I had like continental goodyear hankook avon etc after about 5000 kilometers driving in the summer and winter with rain they gave me confidence, the only negative is I think they are more noisy than my old conti, I think I found a good tire for my little car

Falken Sincera SN832 Ecorun rated 93% while driving a Skoda Unknown
Driving on mostly town for 3000 average miles
driven them for a month now FALKEN is a very good tire, i was lucky i was able to test them in the rain with low temprature outside about 12C no slip's on corners and good braking, at my house i have a pebble road these tires in about a kilometer they lose the pebbles a thing that i like my continentals that i had did not and had to remove te with my key

Goodyear EfficientGrip Compact rated 55% while driving a Kia Motors Rio
Driving on a combination of roads for 40000 spirited miles
these tires did not blow my mind, i would say they are a medium tire in all conditions, did not like hard braking in wet conditions and some times on dry roads, i think it's that they are not flat on the road because they are round at the tread ,,, overall a medium tire for primium price

Toyo Proxes CF2 rated 0% while driving a Renault Unknown
Driving on a combination of roads for 12000 spirited miles
I bought a 1998 Renault twingo back in 2008 and it has toyo proxes cf1. Now i have cf2 which are softer and they wear faster but they are gripier. Offcourse i cant push to the limit with this car but i can turn near my home in the hairpin with 40 plus kmh having good control and conrolable sliding front and rear where with cf1 couldn't go over 30 kmh. I definitely shall buy again. The engine is not too strong so i don't have to slow down much for the road turns thus i have significant wear the outer tire thread, i changed tires front rear and ok. I got em 20 months and 18000 km and now have half depth but still good and soft. A week ago a truck on a blind turn on a traffic light with slippery road lost control in hard brakes, i saw it in rear mirror i put the foot in the gas near rev limiter and popped the clutch it was a very fast take off, overtook 3 cars and truck has extra room to brake again with safety.

Sava Eskimo S3 rated 39% while driving a Citroën c2
Driving on mostly country roads for 20000 average miles
These tires should have written on them, "keep from the wet"! Wet grip is almost zero, or really close to. Especially if they are 2 or 3 years old, but with plenty of profile on them. Dry grip is ok. but far from good.

Dayton D110 rated 28% while driving a Alfa Romeo 145 1.6 Boxer
Driving on mostly motorways for 1000 average miles
I had 4 of these fitted to my 145 when i bought it. They were brand new then and the grip was very low right from the start.
Traction losses were frequent and that is not the cars fault since it uses the Tipo platform wich is known for the fantastic grip and handling it can provide, The braking power is....none. On good pavement they tend to slip with trajectory corrections needed and on bad pavement roads they just don't brake the car, they seem to only slow it down. Without ABS (tryed it also) they just lock as the braking force becomes harder .
In the wet thay are dangerous to say the least. They tens to "lift off" from the road even in low speeds and about 2cm of water and without warning so they are DANGEROUS. The feedback from the road is a mix: well....you do feel all the road since they don't filter any bumps and cracks but when you make a fast change in direction they seem to slip all over the place. Maybe in a lighter car that doen't show so much. I must say that the 145 can (and should) have 185's and these were 175mm wide and that they simply can't deal with this car. The 145 Alfa (in Portugal at least) is allowed to used 175 or 185's.
Returning to the tires - After some time they turn into some kind of plastic and become even harder and start to make a lot of noise as they pass the 70-80km'h mark,
So off they went as soon as the car restoration ended and were replaced by some Toyo CF2's wich are the best tires i've had except the Goodyear Eagle F1's. And i've had Michelin, GoodYear, Vredestein, Sava, Marshall, Continental, Firestone and Hankook tires God...i'm getting old lol

Falken Sincera SN832 Ecorun rated 90% while driving a Hyundai Getz
Driving on mostly town for 18000 spirited miles
I bought a full set for my Hyundai Getz. They are excellent. One of the A class wet grip tires in the small car category. I can not say too many bad things. The only one is, they do not last too long. 90% town driving. 15-20 000 miles on the front. I think this is true for all A-class wet grip tires.
