225/35 17 Tire Review Highlights

Pirelli Scorpion ATR rated 100% while driving a Chevrolet silverado 1500
Driving on a combination of roads for 15000 average miles
Have had these on a full size Chevy Silverado 4x4 for about 2 years. Excellent overall tire. Can't really comment on snow and ice since I'm in an area where we rarely get snow, but no issues in rain, mud, sand, gravel. Biggest advantage is they ride smooth and quiet on freeway

Goodyear Excellence rated 90% while driving a Volkswagen Tiguan
Driving on mostly motorways for 82900 average miles
Just changed the original rear tires having done 82900 miles.Amazing.Still tread of mostly 3mm but showing nearer 2mm on 1 measure.Could have probably done another 10000 miles before illegal.Mostly do long journeys but have never had such good mileage from rear tires before.Excellent tires but must also be due to the configuration of the Tiguan.Apart from hard wearing, they are also quieter that most other premium tires I have tried.Needless to say I have put two new Goodyear Excellence on my car and would recommend them strongly.

Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 rated 59% while driving a Honda Prelude
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 spirited miles
I bought these brand new for my Prelude Type S (225bhp FWD). Used to use Pirelli P-zeros which were truly exceptional. GSD3 is good but wears very quickly although I do have a more than spirited driving style. Within 4000 miles my fronts were pretty much in need of being replaced and would spin If I floored in damp-conditions. Although a Good tire, I wouldnt pay a premium for them.

I would rate them above average but definately not a pirelli p-zero. Overall a safe choice of tire in both wet and dry conditions. Cant go wrong with it but there is better out there.

I Found Avon ZZ3 to be pretty good as a wet weather tire and a whole lot cheaper.
