a combination of roads for 10
easy going miles
These came fitted as standard to my Ssangyong Musso. They performed well in all weather climates from blistering heat beach driving to waterlogged campsites to 5 inches of fresh snow and an icy town roads. It's a very comfy tire that has excellent towing characteristics.
After 10,000 miles, the unique and useful sipes had all but worm down so I decided to try some different tires. My tire size options are limited, all weather traction being the most important thing, first I tried the Cooper Discoverer AT Sport 2, there were dangerous in the wet. 2nd I tried the new Kumho AT52. These were 12ply reinforced and were the most uncomfortable tires I have ever used. Next I tried the Toyo Open Country UT and these were dire in grass and sand.
So, I ended up buying another set of these Nexen Roadian HTX RT5's and they are performing perfectly.
