265/65 17 Tire Review Highlights

Radar Renegade RT Plus rated 60% while driving a Nissan D40
Driving on mostly country roads for 5000 easy going miles
These tires do not play well with other brands (2 radar on back and 2 Goodyear on front) if you are only buying 2 i recommend against it.. the moment I drove out of the tire shop my ute was wandering all over the road... the result and review may have been different had I put 4 brand new ones all around but money is tight... have since removed and put the 4 road tires back on and ute drives like brand new again.. as I said could be different with a set of 4 but they don't play nice as a pair with goodyears

Bridgestone Dueler All Terrain AT002 rated 53% while driving a Mitsubishi triton
Driving on a combination of roads for 1500 spirited miles
Driven 2000+km with them fitted on low mileage small 4x4 with upgraded suspension & they are close to being the worst Tires/Tires I have ever owned. And no matter what they say, the sidewalls on these are too soft and the tread footprint is too small and therefore it feels feels like you chassis is floating on jelly. Because of this you have to run them at between 40lb and 45lb ( cold) just to be able to get a stable responsive ride, but then (of course) you get an extremely rough ride. They are very quiet on new bitumen roads in the cities but buzz loudly on the older bitumen, and on gravel you have to yell to communicate with passengers they are so loud. They grip well in the wet & dry on straight and slight bends but under-steer on sharper bends, especially in the wet. I had a set of cheap Monsta Terrain Grippers before these and yes, they where noisy but at least they felt stable and where better in the wet. They had a much wider footprint on the road and the handling was so much better than these Duelers.

Kumho Crugen HT51 rated 73% while driving a Toyota 4runner
Driving on mostly country roads for 30000 spirited miles
I've had the Kumho Crugen HT51 for about 30,000 miles on a 4x4 4Runner. I purchased these because in some other tire tests, they were rated close behind one of the top-scoring Michelin Defender LTX/MS, at a much lower price. They seem to be a clone of that tire.

Overall, these tires have provided good dry, wet, snow, and ice traction, and excellent fuel mileage. My 4x4 4Runner with a lift averages over 20mpg. My one complaint would be that the shoulders seem to wear a faster than the center, and they don't have full-depth cipes. Despite having a 60k mile rating, after 25-30k miles, they're already mostly bald on the shoulders and the tires are already losing some snow and ice traction.

One amazingly shocking and unexpected "pro" has been offroad performance and durability. I haven't had a true off-road or all terrain tire, but I've done some moderately intense offroading in these, which they definitely weren't made for. I was terrified, and really just crossing my fingers I didn't get a blow out on some rough high-clearance, 4WD-required jeep roads, like the Lead King Basin and the American Basin. But these tires somehow just kept trucking. I probably just got lucky, but I'm still impressed.

Would I buy these as an offroad tire? No. But if you're planning on doing 95% on-road highway and forest service road driving, and are looking for great dry, wet, snow, and ice traction, and good efficiency, from a budget tire, I would put these near the top of your list.

Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac RT rated 90% while driving a Fiat Fullback
Driving on mostly country roads for 1500 easy going miles
Swapped to there's from pirelli at+ , instantly impressed, good steering response, better in the wet, much better in sloppy muddy fields tracks, covered approx 1500 miles and still have the bobbles on the tread so hopefully will wear well, the road noise is quieter than the pirelli with a pleasant not intrusive hum, MPG seems to have stayed the same , shocked as thought it would drop dramatically, only complaint at the moment is they seem harsh over rough road surfaces (more potholes in the UK these days!)
They do look good on the truck too , pleased so far

Nokian Rotiiva AT rated 89% while driving a Toyota Tundra DC 2005
Driving on a combination of roads for 35000 average miles
These tires are on a 2wd truck that is used for the whole gamut of truck stuff - towing 3500# camper from Maine to TN, car trailers, towing at the upper limit around locally for construction, heavy (over) loaded, and 20hr drives on vacations. Nice that my size has an XL higher weight rating then norm, so it generally has good
stability at all speeds. Have had Firestone Wilderness AT and General Grabber AT previously - liked the Firestone for the first 1/2 of tread, but wet traction and hydroplaning performance diminished quickly afterwards. The Grabber wet traction did not diminish as quickly nor as badly as the Wilderness, but handling was noticeably squirmy especially when new. The Rotiiva AT so far is better than both - wet traction is still good, and hydroplaning remains a non issue. Winter criteria is better than any AT I’ve used yet. First set with no flats - lucky or Kevlar??!! Will be on short list to buy again if still available.

Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 rated 43% while driving a Ford Unknown
Driving on mostly motorways for 7 average miles
2022 Ford Ranger 4X4 - OEM tires supplied when the truck was on the assembly line.
We just returned from a 2,500 km trip over the Rockies and back in early December. Temperatures ranged from +12°C to -6°C. It rained, it snowed, it was sunny and icy. These tires .... In fresh snow, we slid 200' stopping. On ice which is bad close to 0°C; they are unreliable. This is a trip we have made perhaps 20 times; it was the scariest trip I've ever had in 50 years. On wet pavement; they often lose traction coming off the lights even at medium throttle.
They had 10,000 km when the trip began; now at 12,500 km. Going East; the box was empty; returning we had ~400 lbs in the back which should have helped with traction - NOT. I've done this trip in a 2-wheel drive F-150 with no problems.

Continental ContiCrossContact LX rated 58% while driving a Toyota Land cruiser prado
Driving on mostly town for 20000 easy going miles
Despite those tires provide driving confidence, they got very damaged before 3 years of use and 30.000 km with no offroad use. Also, Continental rejected the warranty request.

Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT rated 43% while driving a Mitsubishi triton
Driving on mostly country roads for 100 spirited miles
Put coopers on a 2013 Triton, NEVER AGAIN. The under steer was dangerous. Swapped them for both Goodrich and toyo from other tritons and both of these were fine. With the coopers I could turn the steering wheel a quater turn and back while doing 60k, if I did that with the goodies or Tokyo’s I’d be in the trees.
Cooper tires didn’t help, the dealer took the tires back on goodwill.
NEVER will try coopers again

BFGoodrich Trail Terrain TA rated 66% while driving a Mitsubishi Pajero
Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 average miles
I have been driving them for 4 month in dry conditions and done a fair amount of offroading mainly on gtavel and rocky terrain. While they handle very good they are outragiously noisy when on paved tarmac. I jave previously driven on some other tires on offroaders, such as the pireli scorpion which tobmy opinion can noy be called at tires as they are very volunrable, and toyou open country which i didnt like at all, , and cooper discoverer at3. On my current rig a 2009 pajero diesel, i had toyo open country when i bought it an was happy to replace them and was tempted to go for these bfs afyer having a great experince with bf km3 on a previous rig. Unfortunatly, these are the lodrst tires i have ever driven except for yhe km3s. On any givdn day i would take cooper at3, whicj ate far more quite and very capable off road. Sorry, but while the trail terrain ticks msny noxes they are way too loud. I wont buy thesr again.
