Toyo Celsius rated 86% while driving a Toyota Verso
Driving on a combination of roads for 40000 spirited miles
Bought 4 x Toyo Celsius in early 2022 and in April 2025 they have now covered nearly 40,000 miles and are down at 3mm tread depth all round having rotated them twice a year.

They've driven from Lancashire UK to France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden & Norway - almost 4,000 miles.

They have recently returned from a trip round France, Italy, Switzerland & Germany - 3,000 miles.

The Made-in-Japan Celsius delivers a smooth, comfortable, quiet ride that helps the miles pass by with ease.

They track a neat line round long corners without the need for minor corrections and it'll drive in a straight line for 100s and 100s of metres with your hands off the steering wheel . . . it's a great tire to drive long distances with. Minimal effort is required making it a relaxed touring companion.

In winter it's always gotten us home from wherever we've been. And we live in the hills where, come snowfall, 99% of people don't venture out in their cars. The deepest snow the tire has seen is about 4 to 6 inches and traction and braking were impressive. The aggressive tread design and traction claws obviously help inspire confidence in these conditions.

In the wet, standing water doesn't throw the car off line and motorway driving in heavy rain is surefooted.

Again, dry weather poses no issues for the tires which have seen +35deg C and the tread blocks have remained stiff enough for you to enjoy fast B-roads in the summer.

It's a well-engineered tire (each wheel is balanced with just 10 to 15 grams of weights in total). Most other tires we've owned (Bridgestone/Goodyear) required 30 to 50 grams in wheel weights.

We're due to get some new tires come October/November but we'll have to get a different brand because when I've looked Toyo Celsius are regularly unavailable in the UK in the tire size we need. Tire Leader, Mytires, Black Circles, Camskill and even a local tire fitter who specialises in Toyo tires can't get their hands on them.

I thoroughly recommend the Celsius if you're looking at Toyo as a potential purchase - assuming you can get hold of them!

Pirelli Cinturato WeatherActive rated 100% while driving a Hyundai Sonata hybrid limited
Driving on mostly motorways for 4377 average miles
I have a much better grip on ice and wet conditions now. The tire noise significantly less than the stock tires on the highway. I can now hear the media at lower volumes compared to the stock Kumho solus ta31 tires.

Pirelli Cinturato C3 rated 93% while driving a Skoda Superb MK3 (2015 Present)
Driving on a combination of roads for 100 average miles
I just put this model on my Superb and did a "test" on a day of heavy rain and day after on dry and behavior looks great. I had P7 Blue years ago which I did not really like. In the meantime I had Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 that I liked and I definitely like these new C3.

Dunlop Sport Maxx 050 Plus rated 64% while driving a Honda HRV
Driving on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
My HRV came with these tires from first. Actually it perform well grip in dry, good sharp enough for cornering. But I really not recommend while you drive in wet or rainy, it's slippery and I just drive around 47-50mph. In Indonesian road, these tires so noicy and harsh riding.

Continental EcoContact 6 rated 84% while driving a Volkswagen Passat B8 1.6TDI BMT 120PS
Driving on mostly motorways for 2000 easy going miles
Wanted a nice solid tire with a particular focus on low rolling resistance. These Ecocontact 6s are quite nice. They are comfortable and quiet. The grip is unreal in comparison to the mishmash of Triangle, Yeada, Fronway, and iLink L-Grip (inspiring name) that the previous owner of this car decided to rock. These tires are much more planted and I no longer engage ABS while braking for the traffic lights in the wet :)

Falken Ziez ZE950 AS rated 89% while driving a Toyota Camry
Driving on a combination of roads for 53 average miles
My wife and I love these tires! The most positive attributes are the smooth ride, very low road noise, handling and value for what you pay. There is really only one area I would love to see increase and that would be a higher mileage warranty, but then as we all know, that will reflect lower handling. Overall, these are the best tires we have owned and are ready to purchase our next set of Falken 960's. Just remember, the tire is the most important part of your vehicle, as it is the ONLY part of the vehicle that touches the road.

Kenda Emera A1 rated 84% while driving a Suzuki SX4 Scross 1.4T Boosterjet
Driving on mostly country roads for 1000 spirited miles
These are VERY good tires, with supreme comfort and grip. As good for grip as my Continental EcoContact 6, but with more ride comfort. Quiet and quite a soft compound, with good handling. Because these prioritise comfort, road feedback is not quite as good as the Continentals, but it makes for a safe, relaxing drive. I will actively choose these for both my cars again. Excellent.

Vredestein Ultrac rated 92% while driving a Toyota Avensis Wagon D4D 2.2
Driving on a combination of roads for 40000 average miles
I have been driving with these tires for 4 years and I am relatively satisfied. I have never lost control in turns with them. There has been a side water at 80 km/h but I have not lost control (I mean the laws of physics, though). Braking is also good. I could say that they are not noisy. The price with qualities compared to the premium models is good. The only thing I do not like is that they do not have very good traction when starting at higher speeds.

Hankook OPTIMO K415 rated 100% while driving a Nissan Maxima ST
Driving on a combination of roads for 60000 average miles
Used in A33 Maxima FWD for almost 100k kms on NZ roads. Excellent in both wet and dry conditions. Used a family car and never had any issues driving in heavy rain. Not driven in snow. Never had any issues and no uneven wear as well. Got wheel alignment and balancing done when all 4 tires were changed and it lasted almost 100,000kms. Highly recommend.

Accelera PHI rated 77% while driving a Toyota 2017 Geely Emgrand GT
Driving on mostly motorways for 1000 average miles
Recently fitted 4 of these tires and these are incredibly quiet, above average grip in wet and dry (we had a short spell of rain recently and the car was perfectly stable). These replaced a set of Continental's i had on previously and I'd say the Accelera's are a bargain for what you get.

Bridgestone Weather Control A005 rated 66% while driving a Suzuki Vitara 2015>
Driving on mostly country roads for 8000 easy going miles
Bought these tires as wanted something more robust to resist stone punctures that I was getting regularly with Conti Ecocontact 6s. Solved the puncture issue and they have better grip in the wet than the Contis, but the wear is terrible. 8000 miles and they are on the legal limit, what the hell! That is pure winter trye territory tbh. Poor overall.

Hankook iON FlexClimate rated 97% while driving a Kia Motors Niro
Driving on a combination of roads for 4500 easy going miles
Replaces my Vredestein Quatrac Pro tires on my electric car.
Pro:
> The Hankooks have significantly more grip. Since installing them, I have never seen the traction control light on my dash pop up. Gives a lot of confidence driving in the worst of weathers, including snow.
>Significantly quiter. I tested with my iphone a drop of about 3-4db in the cabin on the same stretch of road compared to the vredestein.
Con:
>Range is 5-6%lower than what I was getting on the Vredestein.
