265/70 18 Tire Review Highlights

Falken Wildpeak AT4W rated 38% while driving a Nissan 2002 patrol
Driving on mostly motorways for 3000 easy going miles
I bought these tires from a dealer in starbuck mb and they told me they would be better in snow and ice than my geolander all weather tires had been. Well that was a big lie these tires are not good in snow and ice i have had all season radials that were better than these. I am driving along the other day on white ice on the highway with a strong wind. The tires are so poor that my titan was blowing sideways that is down right dangerous it took me in a store parking lot 50 feet to stop in slushy snow from 15 mph. if you need good tires for winter don't buy these I am not sure how they can have the mountain peak snow symbol

General Grabber APT rated 78% while driving a Ford F 150
Driving on mostly country roads for 16000 average miles
Being an all-weather tire, it's surprisingly good all year with very few compromises ! Summer performance is very good ! I live north of Montreal, Canada so we get a lot of snow and ice from November to April so winter performance is my no1 priority : snow traction is as good as winter tires, ice traction is not as good as a real winter tire but close enough and way better than regular all-season tires ! Noise is a non-issue, very quiet tire ! Wear is not as good as I expected, they seem to wear quickly, they will need replacement at around 22 000 miles to keep a good winter performance, but I guess that's the price to pay for a better compound for wintry conditions. I would 100% recommend this tire !

Falken Wildpeak AT4W rated 81% while driving a Jeep Rengade
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
Rides a lot like the AT3 but just seems a bit smoother. Excellent offroad, they've taken some abuse.

Falken Wildpeak AT rated 48% while driving a Nissan patrol
Driving on a combination of roads for 30000 miles
Done 30k on them and just roadworthy. Rotated every 5k aligned every 10k. Tyrw rep said because driving a Y62 Patrol will not help our with other tires. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH. ATTITUDE SUCKS TOO. Cost so much and everyone I have spoken to said wearing way too early. DON'T BUY THESE TYRES

Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 rated 64% while driving a GMC sierra 1500 SLE

On 2018 GMC SIERRA SLT 4X4 SHORT BOX. Disappointed with winter driving and handling, not to good on rolling. Sidewalls should have extra plies. Wouldn't buy again.

Maxxis Bravo AT771 rated 98% while driving a Mitsubishi Pajero 3,5V6 SWB
Driving on mostly country roads for 9876 average miles
Bought a full set for the wife’s Shogun two years ago, still got at least two more years of life left in them. Price wise I think they’re spot on! As for comparing to more expensive brands, I think save some money and buy these. I have driven the truck in snow and it felt like I was on rails, ice at sensible speeds is also no problem. Wet weather driving confidence is boosted by these tires, and occasionally when the tractors are out and about and the roads are wet and covered in clay, confidence can be boosted further by using the shoguns super select system, and combined with these tires I would happily drive it into some tricky looking situations. Buy them!

Cooper Discoverer AT3 rated 0% while driving a Mitsubishi Unknown
Driving on a combination of roads for 11 average miles
11,000 miles on these tires and they have hardly worn at all so far. Very little noise from them when driving on the road and just enough tread on them for a little off road fun. I will buy again and I would highly recommend these tires.

Goodyear EfficientGrip SUV rated 81% while driving a Nissan patrool y61
Driving on mostly motorways for 38000 spirited miles
Changed to Goodyear EfficientGrip SUV from the Dunlop Grandtrek AT22. I could not believe how different the car drove. With the Dunlop's I always had problems, especially on wet roads. The Goodyear's were good in dry and wet and more comfortable. I had more confidence driving the car, as the tires gave me a better feeling of the car, on wet and dry surface. One time while raining, on the motorway the car in front of me started rotating while breaking due to the slippery pavement and I could break without problems. I didn't hit the car, but the car that followed me hit me as it also couldn't stop due to the slippery road. The only downside is that the tire lasted only 38,000 miles (61,000 Km). I went to change the tires and wanted to fit the same, but unfortunately they weren't available. I fitted the Michelin Primacy SUV instead as they were recommended. Let see if they will be as good as the Goodyear's.
