Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT rated 80% while driving a Audi A5
Driving on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
I had those tires on my 2008 Audi A5 V6 manual transmission for 12 years. I’m not a daily driver , average around 5K a year. First time I had to replace the tires was when they were too old and started to fall apart. I think they are rated for max 6 years which is normal. Next time I had to replace tires was when I hit big potholes created after snow removals on the streets. I hit some serious potholes and they still held pretty well surprisingly but they’re not indestructible ( I had to replace 3 or 4 not -in the same season). Tires would break when the rim bent from impact. Understandable. One thing that pulls me back to them is grip. I was braking really hard couple of time because people are idiots, and not once did I feel my anti-lock brakes activate. It was a solid hard glued to the road stop! One car behind me had to go into emergency lane while braking to avoid hitting me. On wet surface it had pretty good grip but I wasn’t pushing it in the rain. Snow driving: while it’s not a snow tire it did get me in and out of snowy situation. Front wheel sedans were getting stuck while going up the hill in the snow but I was able to manage to keep moving because my car is quattro. My current 2015 audi S5 has Continental ultra-high performance all seasons tires , and while they’re great overall tires I already felt anti-lock brakes activate when suddenly I had to stop (it wasn’t that hard of a braking I must say). I’m currently looking to get the Dunlops as replacement. Braking>Acceleration.

Atlas Force UHP rated 90% while driving a Cadillac 2014 ctsv
Driving on a combination of roads for 6000 spirited miles
I searched for tires with the same speed rating, traction and temperature rating as the highest rated performance all season tires (all big name brand tires). I’ve had success for years finding high quality less expensive tires using this method, and often it’s a new brand seeking market penetration with price. These Atlas UHP TIRES are competitive in wet, dry, and hard use performance driving, and wear appears to be better than competitive, but maybe too soon to tell as I only have 6,000 miles on them so far. I have staggered width wheels and larger 295/30 19’s on the rear with 255/35 19’s on the front.

Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 rated 76% while driving a Audi S4
Driving on mostly motorways for 20000 spirited miles
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 tires. Running these on a 2012 Audi S4, all wheel drive car. It's my daily driver / road trip car. Climate is middle of USA. Snow only 5-10 times a year here, usually light snow. Truly 4 seasons. Driven about 20k miles on these tires since 2021. Driving style spirited. The wet handling is really why I love these tires. They are just excellent for a commuter or road trip car when the rain is coming down hard. Snow is fine and suitable to get around a light snow day, but you'll slip around a bit (which I'm fine with) Dry handling is on point for what I need. Very good, but not amazing. Only time they slip is under really hard corning when I'm asking for it. They're expensive, that's a draw back for sure. However, I've been happy with the tire wear so far. Just be sure to do regular rotations. I would definitely buy these again.

Driving on a combination of roads for 23800 spirited miles
Great performance, one of the best. I bought the car with 21k miles on these tires and the grip was still top notch on the dry, however in the wet it was a different story. It wore out very evenly and i would say quick but not really 23k miles life cycle. The front tires are not as bad (20% of it's life left) so it has durability. The ride is uncomfortable but bearable. The stability and sport reaction are unreal, quick and connected to the road. I would recommend these tires since you get all the feeling that a sportcars should deliver to the driver.
