Given 64% while driving a Triumph Sprint Sports (170/85 R17) on a combination of roads for 4,000 spirited miles
Replaced worn out Conti's. Agressive/Spirited riding all year round (within limits!) Toured Ireland last summer - better than the same trip on Conti's in the spring. When new/warm wet grip is ok - non existant in cold British winter, to be fair the Conti's were the same year before - conclusion they only work if warm. Fitted as a pair, just got 4K up on them and puncture in rear - bout 2K left - Looking for something else now, not bad but not great, pricey for an "OK" tire, not sure which way to go now.

Given 59% while driving a Honda ST1100 Pan European (160/70 R17 V) on mostly country roads for 3,000 spirited miles
I have used these for the last time, the tires do not suit the St100. The front tire cause a steering wobble and can become dangerous at times, ie one handed whilst lifting the helmet visor. These initally felt good when compared to the cross ply tires used previously, but when compared to the competion not that great.

Given 77% while driving a Kawasaki zx12r (200/55 R17) on mostly motorways for 9,000 spirited miles
wet grip is almost a joke, steady throttle at 90mph on zx12r in the rain and there was slip/wheel spin apply enough throttle to overtake in the same conditions and rev counter red lines.9000miles on this set and still going strong so shouldn't complain about the grip, front feels vague in the last 5-7mm of chicken strip on the road with the odd controllable slide; also front felt like the bike had ABS when hard on the brakes as tire would slide then grip chirping like a bird.

Given 81% while driving a Yamaha TDM 900 (160/60 R17) on a combination of roads for 7,000 spirited miles
Got 7000 miles out these, gave good grip in the dry ok in the wet but I don't ride like loon in the wet . Front tire wore out quicker than the rear with more wear on one side of the tire than other which did seem a bit strange but can't grumble at 7000 miles

Given 39% while driving a Suzuki GSX 1300 RK4 Hayabusa (190/50 R17) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
SHOULD NEVER BE PUT ON A HAYABUSA. SUNNY DAY TYRE WITH WARM ROADS ONLY. DONE ABOUT 1000 MILES IN MIXED WEATHER, SO LITTLE FEELING ON WET ROADS HAD TO BE RIDDEN STEADY . STILL HAD 3 ENTERTAINING MOMENTS . TAKING IT OFF TODAY!!
IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS A SCOOTER THAT TAKES THIS TYRE SIZE YOU CAN HAVE IT. BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO SIGN A DISCLAIMER!

Given 93% while driving a Suzuki SV650S (160/60 R17) on mostly country roads for 8,000 spirited miles
SV650 - Very happy with these and just about to go into my 3rd set. Ive had the older Avons, BrigeStones BT020 and 021s in the past and was not happy with the wear or progressivness. Very happy with the latest offering from Avon.
Last set had 9000 out of the rear, due to a frantic tour in France the latest one came in at 7000, not a bad average.

Given 89% while driving a Suzuki GSX 1300 RK4 Hayabusa (190/70 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 9,000 average miles
I'm on my 2nd set on my Hayabusa. I love them & so does she who must be obeyed. went to Poland and back, all sorts of road surface, wet & dry. Fantastic. The milage is good, 9000 miles from the back, nearly 12000 from the front

Given 61% while driving a Suzuki Bandit 1250 SA (180/55 R17) on mostly country roads for 6,000 average miles
I tried the Avon Storm initially becuase I was dissappointed with the wear on Dunlop Roadsmarts. I have been riding with a Roadsmart on the fron and an Avon Storm on the back. Th Roadsmart performs in every category except mileage. The Avon Storm has provided 30% miles but was not quite as good as the Roadsmart in the wet. I have had the back break away a few times, but nothing that could not be controlled. However, since the sun arrived both tires have performed brilliantly.

Given 64% while driving a Honda VFR 800 (180/55 R17) on a combination of roads for 6,000 spirited miles
I have had many tires on my VFR Vtec, I ride all year round, wet and dry. I have used many brands, always looking to balance grip and life. Other tires I have used on the bike are:

BT020
BT021
Pilot Road
Pilot Sport
Pilot Road 2
Pilot 2ct
Conti Road attack.

sadly my "Buy British" attitude bit me this time and I have to say, in the wet these tires are just not good enough. I have had the back break away under mild acceleration, they take ages (if ever) to get any heat into them and the front lacks feel when pushed in the dry. Its such a shame as the life of these tires was looking good, but i would rather have the pilot road 2 over these any day despite the extra expense.

Come on Avon, please improve these, i want to buy British but your not making it easy for us.

Given 94% while driving a Honda Fireblade 1000 (180/55 R17) on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
i've just fitted these to my 900 blade. gotta say already i love them more than the battelax bt021. havn't evan scrubbed them in yet but they already offer more grip than the bt021's. power wheelies on damp roads no problem and that was on the way home from getting them fitted! 10/10 so far. gotta put a few miles on them yet b4 i start really pushing the lean angles. i have confidence in them already tho. i would never get the battelax over these!

Given 93% while driving a Triumph Trophy 1200 (170/70 R17 W) on mostly country roads for 5,000 spirited miles
Fitted to a BIG tRIUMPH tROPHY 1200 and used "Sportingly", these bueaties have lasted well and really inspire confidence.
Bit disappointed to get 5,000 miles out of teh front and shoed significant wear on just the one side, but the rear is still measuring 5mm after 5,000 miles so can'tcomplain really.
