Bridgestone B250 Reviews - Page 2

Given 67% while driving a Mazda 3 Series (195/65 R15 V) on mostly town for 42,000 easy going miles
Came as OEM in my Mazda3, very noise as the Mazda 3 has already known noise problem, their only good is the long lasting, I had done 68000Km since new and still going, I believe it can last for another few thousand km before reach the legal limited .Yet some "slip" happened during the wet last week, so I'm going to replace it, thinking to try the Pirelli P7.

Given 40% while driving a Mazda 3 Series (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 30,000 easy going miles
Not rubbish, but not "good" either.
OEM on our (Aussie) Mazda 3. Road noise is very high, awful in the wet.
Wear rate is excellent, but I do drive like a grandpa!

Given 64% while driving a Kia Motors (225/75 R16) on a combination of roads for 19 average miles
We're on our second set of these on our Kia Sedona. The original set lasted around 12,000 miles which isn't great even considering the weight of the car.

They're sort of a jack of all trades but a master of none; they just do their job in all conditions. Grip on snow/ice is notably better than a dedicated summer tire but the wet performance is probably their real weak point. Dry grip is good but I'd be worried of Bridgestone couldn't make a tire that performed well in the dry.

Road noise/comfort seem ok, no complaints really. Like I said earlier, they just seem to do their job really.

Because of the odd tire size, these are the only tires readily available at most places. There's a lot of 4x4 tires in this size which would be pointless on a Sedona. I'd like to try other tires but it just seems like a lot of hassle to be able to!

Would I buy again? I think I have to...

Given 57% while driving a Fiat Punto 1.2 8v (185/65 R15 T) on mostly country roads for 2,000 average miles
Bridgestone B250 tires were on a Fiat Punto rental car in Italy. Cornering on dry tarmac was amazingly good - no squealing or drifting; they were similarly good on wet tarmac but with lower grip (as should be expected). Front wheel drive traction was also good on both dry and damp tarmac; warm or cold temperatures did not affect the grip of these summer tires, but there was no snow or frost on which to test them in winter conditions.

Three negatives with these Bridgestones: they are not comfort tires, and they are not quiet (although in fairness there are noisier tires around). Every road surface gives a different sound, and every bump causes movement of the whole car, constantly letting you know that all four tires are working; they are never silent even on the smoothest tarmac. Also, two different times under heavy braking (avoiding dogs running in the road) they lost enough grip to activate the Fiat's ABS; once was on wet concrete and once on dry tarmac. This lack of braking effectiveness was in unfortunate and surprising contrast to their normally strong cornering grip and traction under power. In summary: if these were on a car I had purchased or rented, I would wear them out then buy different, quieter tires to replace them.

Given 51% while driving a Nissan Micra (175/60 R15 H) on mostly town for 4,000 spirited miles
These tires were OEM fitted on my k13 Nissan Micra. They were really bad both on wet and dry roads. Braking distance was too long. I also had some accidents because of these tires. So I removed them once winter came and the next summer I didn't use them. Before 4k miles I threw them away. I wouldn't recommend these tires, and if you have these, I recommend throwing them away. You won't regret it.

Given 69% while driving a Nissan ALMERA 1.2 (Thailand) (175/70 R14 H) on mostly town for 10,000 average miles
Economy comfort tires from Bridgestone.
I use these in my Nissan ALMERA (Versa, N17)
Fair quailty and reasonable price.
I think maybe I will buy them again.

Given 79% while driving a Renault Cilo 1.2 Extreme (165/65 R15 T) on a combination of roads for 19,000 average miles
Good tire, low road noise and fantastic grip in the dry. Only lasted 19000 miles though.

Given 70% while driving a Renault Clio 1.2 8v 60hp (175/65 R14 T) on a combination of roads for 51,000 spirited miles
I'm changing these tires before reaching the wear limit, with only 29000km. Although they've never been very good in the wet, they made their function, but the last 3000km were a nightmare when i reached any wet roundabout.

I've put B391 before these, and lasted 48000km with better grip. I'd used also Contiecocontact and they were as bad as B250, even they had the same picture.

Now changing to Uniroyal RainExpert. We'll see.

Given 29% while driving a Daihatsu Xenia Li 1.0 (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 0 easy going miles
I'm using daihatsu xenia 1.0 with this tire.
The tire is very noisy. When the car speed more than 60 kmph, the noise become bigger and bigger.

beware on wet asphalt, I have often oversteer. (this never happen before when I'm using D*nlop).

The millage, before I'm using this tire (D*nlop), I got millage about 17KM/litre, but with this tire I got 14.5KM/litre.

Don't buy this tire again.

Given 50% while driving a Nissan Grand Livina (in Asia only) (185/65 R15 H) on a combination of roads for 43 average miles
These tires were very noisy from the day 1. It came pre-installed as OEM on Nissan Grand Livina. These are hard tires though. Average dry grip, it loves to spin on sudden accelerations, considering my ride is a a bit heavy wagon type 7-seater 1.8 engine only. Wet grip is worst. On a rainy day, it start to loose grip at 80km/h. Also bad on mud and roads with small rocks as it slides and spins even with light footing on the gas pedal.

At 43,000 kilometers now, thread is at 50%. Will not buy these again.

By the way, I live and drive in a tropical country.
