Given 71% while driving a Skoda Yeti 4 x 4 (225/50 R17 W) on mostly country roads for 45,000 average miles
A review here for frustrated Skoda Yeti 4x4 and Octavia Scout drivers with 225/50/17 tires fitted with the OE "fast road" tires that Skoda UK orders with its models instead of a proper Crossover tire that ought to come with such a vehicle! We should be grateful that Bridgestone at least offers us such a tire type, as no other manufacturer has bothered and hence your only choice is whether to go with these or stick to a purely performance tire.
Firstly, ignore 90% of the reviews on here. Actual grip and "when new" noise levels are tested scientific facts and there's no point in arguing with TUV results or subjective magazine tests such as Auto Bild. This tire fairs quite well in the 3 scientific tests conducted so far, so as Crossover tires go it's not a bad one.
Should you switch to it when your OE tires wear out? In a nutshell, Yes, if you live in the countryside like myself and need a bit of Off-road, Rough road or light snow confidence. No, if you live in areas that suffer from regular deep snow and ice, get some full-on Winter tires instead!
Compared to Skoda's OE fitted performance tires you"ll find : a slight drop off in hard cornering grip, a noticeable drop in damp road braking, but not much difference in dry road braking. On the plus side, aquaplaning resistance and straight line tracking in standing water is better, wet grass and mud grip is massively better, and uphill traction and steering in snow far better (although braking on snow is still weak). Ride Comfort in cold conditions is also good, as the rubber doesn't go so hard in freezing weather as a performance summer tire. I've seen no difference in actual economy readings compared to the previous sport tires.
Wear rate has been 20% better than the Dunlop Sports my Yeti came with, and Michelins I subsequently tried. I'm getting 25k from Fronts and 35k from Rears, and the tire doesn't get too noisy with wear too, unlike the Dunlops which droned badly after 15k.
Overall, I'll stick with these for a 3rd set as the upsides on a 4x4 outweigh the downsides, and there's no competitor right now, as it looks as if Michelins potentially excellent new CrossPilot is a purely on-road tire.

Given 29% while driving a Volkswagen Tiguan (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 10,000 average miles
These were the factory fitted tires on my VW Tiguan, grip ok in dry but very poor in wet weather. Also the ride quality is poor on these tires and quite a lot of road noise too. I also have winter tires on which the car handles much better and is quieter and more comfortable compared to these summer tires. Also disappointed that VW fit such poor tires to a 4x4 vehicle.

Given 77% while driving a Volkswagen Tiguan (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 10 average miles
These are fitted to a Tiguan 2.0TDi with 140 bhp and they perform very well indeed in the dry, ok but with some reservations in the wet. Never tried snow but would NOT be keen given that it slides in the wet. So far 14,000 km and minimum wear.

Given 84% while driving a Volkswagen Touareg (255/55 R18 W) on mostly country roads for 47,000 spirited miles
I have had 2 sets of Bridgestone Dueler HP Sport on an '11 Touareg

47000 between the two sets, with 3mm left on the 2nd set, so c25k a set

Just replaced with Continental Contact 5 SUV, which seem a lot quieter than the old HPs

cant fault the HP's though as OE fitment and suited the car

Given 100% while driving a Audi Q5 (235/55 R19) on a combination of roads for 21,500 average miles
On my Audi Q5 which I bought in August 2012 , had Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sports. 235/55R19,
These tires are the original tires that were on my car when I bought it. My q5 has travelled 21500 klm , and I think they are 70% worn , been an SUV I have the tires rotated about 4 times a year, or every 3000 k's . I think these tires are great they are great in wet and dry conditions, they ride smooth and quiet , and looked after they will do the distance... I will definitely buy these tires again ...

Given 25% while driving a Audi Q3 (235/55 R17 V) on a combination of roads for 800 average miles
I purchased a new Q3 and thought the tires were over inflated, I checked the tires and found them correct. The car was new and I allowed time for the tires to settle before I contacted AUDI after sales team. The car was a hard unresponsive and noisey drive, the tires were ruining a good car. I have had 6 new Audi,s and driven thousands of miles on various premium tires. These are the worst tires I have ever driven on. AUDI came on a test drive and agreed with me then changed the tires, they then tested the car again and could not beleive the difference. Well done to AUDI I am now driving a quality car again

Given 63% while driving a Volkswagen Tiguan Sport 2.0 TDI 140hp (235/55 R17) on a combination of roads for 20,000 average miles
Came new with my VW Tiguan, ok in the dry but very poor in the wet or even damp, losing grip at slightest hint of rain. Useless in snow, I can honestly say worst tire I've ever had in winter, so I'm changing to winters very soon.

Given 40% while driving a Volkswagen Tdi 4 motion (235/55 R17 H) on a combination of roads for 45,000 average miles
I'm an old guy ... done all that racing around stuff as a kid so I've no idea what 'the limit' is anymore ... so can't comment on 'progressiveness' ... the tires are still going strong on the rear at 45000 miles ... fronts replaced around 35000. Tires have been incredibly noisy due to the uneven wear on the rears ... sound like failed wheel bearings ... inner tread worn in stepped/saw tooth pattern which is apparently a common problem these days ... nobody will take responsibility. Tiguan ride on these tires harsh and unpleasant. Hard to believe that car/tire manufacturers feel this kind of thing is appropriate.

Given 89% while driving a Volkswagen Tiguan Sport 2.0 TDI 140hp (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 47 easy going miles
I have a set of these on my VW Tiguan, I have covered 47,000 miles on these and they are still road legal!. Amazing tires these Bridgestones. The flip side is that I don't use brakes, don't excelerate hard, I don't corner hard, and don't drive at excessive speed - my by racer days are gone!!! This has a lot to do with it and it pays in tire life. A great tire for all seasons...

Given 61% while driving a Land Rover Freelander 2 (235/65 R17 H) on a combination of roads for 15,500 easy going miles
Bought these to replace original goodyear wrangler on freelander 2, original tires lasted 27k on fronts, 30k on rear. Bridgestones down to 3mm on only 15,500 miles and will need replacing in approx. 3k, thought I was buying quality product, wont buy again.
