PRO :
Dry grip are great, a bit better from MC5, and super stable on upper to high speed drive, confident on control. worm up supper quick, break on dry are super, real life compare with another e500, fresh new tire both, MC6 is abt 1.5 s. quicker and 21-22 m. shorter to stop compare with the Thai's made - Primacy 3-ST on the same size.
CON :
A bit down breaking in wet (rainstorm wet, from 110 Kph to 40) its better to keep more distance as I felt the tire are skid on the water time to time, and....a massive down on noice, this new one is, still, so loud on higher speed, a bit quieter if stay below speed limit. and the wear, I did 23,xxx km. in 17 months on last set of MC5, and its was totally wreck at that point, so far, it seem like long lasting wasn't the major improvement on the MC6.

SUM : One of the best tire on dry, high speed and performance user, compare to the price, this is still be no.1 as of early 2018. hopefully won't see defect on sidewall or structure damage like other model from my pass on this model, So far, So good.

These tires are just brilliant,Run at Genting, Power at handling and easy to handle for sharp corner,if you guys dont knw genting,go for youtube search "Genting Touge", Mostly its a "PUBLIC RACE TRACK" haha, because road incline is about 10%-15%

This is my first Continental tires. I switch from my old Michelin Pilotsport 4 which I have experienced for 3 sets of it. This time, I decided to try something new rather than get the new PS5. I choose MC6. (And yes it is cheaper too)

My car was Nissan Sylphy B17 base model with manual tranny (NO ABS). It is used as a daily driver. It has GAB suspension lowered 20mm from factory height. And I mainly spirited driving on expressway in combination with city driving under speed limit.

I will share my thoughts based on what I found compare to the PS4.

Dry grip. - I find it ‘slightly’ lower than the PS4 which I noticed from the stopping power. As my car has no ABS, I felt the braking threshold is slightly lower than my previous PS4 and the MC6 did not provide the stable stopping force as the PS4. However the cornering performance is acceptable for road use. “More than enough”

Wet grip - This is the most disappointing things for me. I found that its hydroplaning resistance isn’t comparable to the PS4 that i have used. But don’t get me wrong. The over all wet grip is decent and I still feel safe to drive during thunderstorm here in Thailand.

Road feedback - Slightly better than my previous PS4. Not that god-like feedback level that you would feel from another tier of tires like Potenza sport or Semi slick like A052 or AD08R from Yokos. But for this price i would say more than enough and still better than the my previous Michelin.

Progressiveness - It is quite newbie friendly tires. Not so snappy when it is reaching the limit. But still my previous PS4 does a better job than this one.

NVH - This set of tires has weird NVH characteristic to me. It is quiet and lovely during city-limit. (0-80KPH) suddenly when passed 100KPH it generate sounds like wheel bearing would broke or something. ( i am sure that it is not my bearing as i have just changed it). The ride comfort is decent and comparable to my previous Michelin.

Other thoughts - Lovely sidewall and tread pattern design.

This is an end of life review for the first set of Continental MaxContact MC6's that I had fitted on the rear of my car, which have just come up below the legal limit for where I live (

Used this for my Honda City (205/45/17) low profile.
Pros:
1. Grip is excellent and I feel confident with my car.
2. Sidewall appearance looks sporty
Cons:
1. BIGGEST CONS is it’s soft compound so it’s not durable at all. Chipped my sidewall easily when hitting a curb at very low speed ~10km/h and had it replaced (3years 30000km).
2. Quite noisy in my opinion with the low frequency sound from the road

If I was to sum this tire up into a phrase it would be: the budgeted experience of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and that isn’t a bad thing.

I have these tires on my BMW E60 525i and have currently put on roughly 30,000KM. I’m from Malaysia and in Malaysia you can drive however fast you dare to go. (those from Malaysia would understand) My driving includes: spirited drives (touge), fast highway miles, and mundane traffic. My car although a BMW it still has a natural tendency to understeer, this is further exemplified with minimal camber up front. I am running -2.0 camber on the back.

I’ll have my review broken down into sections for easy reading.

Dry Grip: One word, understeer. With the setup and characteristic of my car, this tire when pushed to the limit it understeers. The front is always the weaker axle and the first to give when pushed. Moving on to the rear. With -2.0 camber at the back I am able to go through somewhat acute bends on the highway at speeds of 200km/h+ (IPOH to KL and vice versa for those in Malaysia) and not be at the limit of the tire or car. So in my opinion, with the right set up these tires they can give you more than it would with a factory set up.

Wet Grip: This is the compromise of this tire. The wet grip is non-existent, especially after I have tried the Conti SC7 on another car, the differences are night and day. (although they are two completely different tires) This tire hydroplains like crazy, although it still does good enough to not throw you into the barrier, unless you are driving very stupidly it won’t be killing you, but you are still better off not pushing this tire in the wet. This reflects on spirited driving in the wet as well. Even with a wet line and attempting to mitigate understeer up Genting (a famous touge road in Malaysia) the tires are just not up to the task. Depending on the turn and the weight distribution of the car at the time it will happily go into either understeer or oversteer. In conclusion, just not a confidence aspiring tire in the wet.

Road Feedback & Comfort: I find this tire soft and pliant. Great for comfort but there is no road feedback. Even with a hydraulic steering rack this tire still mutes out a lot of the impurities that I would like to feel through the wheel at times.

Wear: Right now at 30,000KM~ the tires are at their halfway mark so assuming the wear rate remains constant I should be expecting 60,000KM~ out of these tires. This type of wear rate for me is a 5/5 rating.

Coming to a close, to be completely honest the reason why I got this tire at the time (2022) was due to a budget constraint. My top choice at the time was the PS5 and I will be getting the PS5 after this tire. Hence why I say this tire is a budget experience of the PS4. It gives you that overall road focused sporty tire at the cost of wet performance and at a cheaper price.

Good street performance, good wet and dry grip, and very good durability compared to the PS4 tires

This replaces a set of Michelin PS4 on my car. In the dry, I feel no noticeable difference. The two are very similar to me. After all, I only drive my car on road. I never drive it on the track. In terms of comfort I feel the contis are more comfortable, but the michelins were on my car for 6 years before being replaced, with maybe 20% tread left, so of course the newer tires would be more comfortable. I dont really remember how they felt when new. The biggest difference to me is when the road is wet. The michelin, despite being a summer tire, handles very, very well in the wet. In the 6 years I had them, I never once experienced any aquaplanning whatsoever. The contis on the other hand, feel a little bit slippier. It's not terrible, but I can certainly feel the difference with the michelins. Let's just say I was more confident on wet surface with the michelins. I've only had them for a little over 2 months so I cant really comment on wear. The michelin PS4 lasted me 6 years, and I only replaced them because they were severe cracks due to the environment. I really hope the contis last as long or even better. Hopefully they dont crack as quickly as the michelins.

Surprisingly comfortable for a performance rated tire. Noise is minimal
Handling is on point with rather direct feel.
Yet it dampens out bumps and uneven surface rather well. Probably thanks in part to its relatively softer sidewalls.

WOW! Have used Michelin Sport 4 on my cars for some years. Last year I decided to economise on my cheap daily run around Kia Cerato and with trepidation purchased a set of MC6 tires on a special deal from Bob Jane T Mart for $650 Australian. I cannot believe how close they are to the Sport 4’s in all conditions. At the price point I cannot fault them. The wear after 15Ks appears similar. Will definitely buy again.

These tires will impress me after 2,000 kilometers.
Produced low-frequency noise on the rough tarmac with the VW 18" stock wheel.
The steering wheel feels good, and the ride is comfortable too.
Shorter braking distances in wet and dry weather.
The rolling resistance is good, and the mileage has somewhat increased.
Overall, I am happy with the MC6.

4 x 225/45/17s on the Tommi Mak. Best tires it has had on it wet and dry and they have had a thrashing since 200kms worn. Purchased another set for storage.First time with the Continental Brand...Excellent

Drove it for about 1000 km, initial thought right after putting it on, wow this tire is stiff, kinda regret driving it on for about 100kms, but after 200kms, the tire feels more compliant to bumps. guessed that was the "break-in period". Grip level is excellent, no issues with tire squealing when taking fast highway on ramp exits. High speed stability is good too, no issues there. The best aspect is the noise level, significantly less compared to the Dunlop SP Sport Max 050+ that I had before and almost as good as the Continental Ultra Contact 6 on my other car. Also noticed that my fuel consumption is decreased too, normally would get 17kml to 18kml on my commute, but now I'm getting 18kml to 19kml with average of 120kmh. The only gripe, is wet performance, feels a bit "twitchy", no issues with grip but not a great feeling during high speeds around 110 to 120kmh. For sidewall design, IMO Continental has the second best sidewall design. Bought it because this is the second best option, was planning to get Michelin PS5 instead but the price difference is too huge almost 60% more doesn't justify putting it on a "daily commute car".

I have driven 67,000 kms on my current set of tires. Exellent value. I have low profile tires, I don't drive my car hard. I wish they could reduce the road noise a bit more. Otherwise every happy and I'm putting a new set on next week.

Absolutely BEST tire for the price. My background has mainly been track driving and open windy county roads. These tires did not disappoint. Having tried RE003’s and PS4’s. For the price you really can’t complain.. extremely handing in both wet and dry conditions. More comfortable driving at higher speeds and cornering in the dry, they just want to keep gripping the road. Wet road driving they also preform phenomenally. I’m not really the person to drive my car in the wet as this is a dry weekend warrior or track car only. But having rained and back windy roads you always wanna see what your tires can do and hope for the best haha. But all seriousness it’s a excellent tire even compared to newer and “improved” tires but other big manufacturers. 10/10 would buy again.
