Continental Cross Contact UHP Reviews - Page 3

Given 86% while driving a Volvo XC90 D5 185 HP (235/65 R17 V) on a combination of roads for 21,000 spirited miles
I have had Continental tires before and they were great but seemed to wear a little too quickly (maybe 16000 miles on the front of a 2.0TDi Audi A6) but these are the first I've had on an SUV (XC90 2.4TDi) and they have done very well - 21000 miles on the front and I still have 4-5mm of tread on the back pair. Very impressed with the quality from all perspectives :-)

Given 93% while driving a Mercedes Benz ML (250/50 R19) on a combination of roads for 2,000 spirited miles
Got these at the front of my Mercedes ML. Seems pretty good and very quiet but it might be more to do with the car than the tires. Compared to what I'm used to before when I used to change tires every 10k with my previous E Class. If these will last 15K, I would be absolutely delighted.

Aquaplaning seems its best point.

So far so good. No complaints.

Given 54% while driving a Land Rover Freelander 2 (235/60 R18) on a combination of roads for 4,500 average miles
Great grip in the wet and dry, They do generate a fair amount of road noise and give a firm ride. But and is a big but god do they wear quick, i dont drive hard and the tires have worn 3-4 mm in 4500 miles not good. I would not buy them again but only because of the wear rate.

Given 50% while driving a Land Rover Range Rover V8 Vogue (255/50 R20) on a combination of roads for 15,000 easy going miles
Have driven Range Rovers for 5 years and these are the quickest wearing tires I've ever had. No problems with them, other than they just wear down incredibly quickly - just 15,000 miles of very calm driving (I tend to drive to get the best out of diesel). Simply not good enough, as previous tires have lasted for 25k-35k miles.

Given 70% while driving a Volkswagen Touareg (255/55 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 20,000 average miles
The Continental Cross Contact Tires on my Toureg Blue Motion are very good, except for the rate at which they wear. But all in all they are a great tire which seem to last longer than other makes of tire.

Given 71% while driving a Audi A6 (225/55 R17 V) on a combination of roads for 60,000 spirited miles
Much firmer than the OEM Pirelli P6 allroad. Great dry and wet grip. Wear was average with tires needing to be rotated at 10k miles. Car is 4WD so wouldn't get more than 20k miles from a set.
