Very good and predictable tire on wet.similar traction to michelin ps4s. Dry handling is great for street tire, but after 7-8 hard laps on 3.2km track they start to feel soft and degrade slowly. Very good tire for beginners because it is not snappy and traction does not lose instantly on limit.

Given 81% while driving a Nissan 370Z (275/35 R19) on a combination of roads for 300 spirited miles
After a long process of deliberating which tires to fit on my 370z, I decided to give the new RS820s a try.

And up to now I have to say I’m really very happy with them. They replaced a set of Michelin Pilot 4Ss, which again, as we all know they’re a great tire.

The Falken RS820 is a little quieter at motorway speed, useful in a car that’s known for being quite noisy.

They are more temperature sensitive than the Michelins were and will definitely wear quicker but the Falkens definitely feel better under braking where in the dry, from 70mph the 370z could use almost 100% of it’s total braking capability before any ABS intervention.

In the wet, that was still around 3/4 which is impressive nonetheless.

When the limits of grip are breached, the breakaway is predictable and “friendly” with the added bonus of giving the car a slightly more pointy front end compared to the Michelins.

I do think the Michelins are a better all round tire for day to day use, but the Falkens come out on top in terms of sheer performance and added driver engagement.

Will definitely fit again.

Given 100% while driving a Mercedes Benz SL350 (285/30 R19) on mostly country roads for 300 average miles
Usually run FK520 tires where possible on my cars, but a recent purchase led me to try the RS820 due to the size. The tires are great in wet and dry conditions and i thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a high mid range tire.
