Given 86% while driving a SEAT Leon Cupra (225/45 R18) on a combination of roads for 2,000 spirited miles
For a mid-range tire my expectations were mid-range also. How wrong I was! For the performance, I would say these tires are worthy of being a top brand. Dry grip excellent, but they really excel in the wet, even under 'spirited' driving. From a front wheel drive perspective, they are great, no locking up, hardly any wheel spin, no understeer, just plenty of grip! Not sure if the same results would be achieved in rear wheel drive cars, but I would be suprised if it were much different. Overall- excellently priced, road noise ok, grip superb, and comfort good. Done 2000miles so far and cant see any signs of wear yet.

Given 89% while driving a Citroën C5 (215/55 R16 W) on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
I have used 3 sets of Falken tires on my Citroen C5, they are fantastic value and give far better dry and wet grip than the Michelin Energy tires or Firestones that i have had in the past. With 4x914s My C5 holds the road like its on Rails and road noise is just enough to let you know what the tires are doing, comfort is superb and cornering grip is very impressive. A superb tire that lasts between 15-20,000 miles! I will definitely buy them again .

These tramline like a train and I've played with the pressures to alleviate this but with no luck.

Apart from that, not bad for the £££s

Brilliant tire! Have a set on the front of my BMW coupe and they've got me out of trouble more than once! Handle very very well in the dry and fantastically in the wet, will buy these again!

Given 93% while driving a Jaguar (225/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 10,000 spirited miles
I had these tires fitted to my jaguar and they are brilliant in the dry and in the wet good feedback too I have had all the premium tires and they don't hold a candle to these tires the road noise is a bit louder than I was expecting maybe because the wheels are so big and the profile are low but don't let that put you off all four tires tracked, balanced and fitted £400 you can't fault them

Given 85% while driving a Volvo C70 T5 GT (225/45 R17) on mostly town for 4,000 spirited miles
Paid £106 a corner for these and compared to 'premium' brands these are very good value.

Dry grip is very impressive and plenty feedback. Wet grip again is good, although I don't push my car so much in the wet so can't fully comment.

Road noise and comfort also very good and refined.

All in all why pay more for premium brands when these tires tick every box, especially for a front wheel drive car they are all you need. Will be buying again.

Given 90% while driving a Rover 75 2.0 cdti Tourer (215/55 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 4,000 spirited miles
Fitted 2 on the front wheels of my Rover 75 Deisel Tourer and did 4000 miles touring Europe encountering extreme heat and torrential rain without the slightest problem. Excellent grip and no signs of wear throughout the trip. Can't wait to get them on the rear wheels as well

Given 80% while driving a MINI One D (175/55 R15) on mostly town for 3,000 average miles
Quick update after 6 months and 3k miles.
7mm left on rears, 6mm on fronts. All even wear.
Good tire for dry grip and comfort. They have been quiet from the start and seem to smooth the bumps and pot holes well.
They are however a soft tire, so i expect wear rate will be poorer to harder types.
Very happy so far considering the value of this tire.

Given 73% while driving a Vauxhall Astra 1.9 cdti 150hp (225/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 3,000 average miles
Bought these after a friends recommendation. He has them on his fiesta zetec s a6nd the smaller profile tire handles great. On my larger tire the grip in the dry is v good, better than average in the wet. Though it does tend to under steer in high speed corners without much warning. Done 3000 miles so far. Decent mid range tire for decent price

Replaced a set of Continental SportContact 3's for the Falkens after a successful time with the ZEIX 912s on my previous C Class. Contis had worn well on the treads but the inner tire walls were totally shot after 22k. New set of Contis nigh on £780, new set of 914s ca £620 (decent saving of £160. Overall impressions are fairly good, the tires are wearing well thus far - pretty even and no problems with sidewall etc. Handling on the Falkens is good but is not on a par with the Contis... the ZE914s are not a "Sport" tire and I suspect theres a little more flex in the wall than to be had in the Contis. Wet and dry grip is good but again not up to the original Contis. Tires are slightly noisier too but this is very much down to road surface quality;- a recent trip on French motorways revealed the Falkens to be very quiet when compared to the resulting noise imparted from the third world quality of some of our British roads. I have noticed no difference in mpg with the tires - I regularly get 40mpg on motorways and 31mpg overall in mixed driving.... as per the original Continentals.
The 914's are decent value overall and Im not disappointed with them - the 914's are (overall) probably one of the best mid-range tires available. Suspect though that I'll go back to Contis for the next set even though they're a bit dearer just for the better handling characteristics.
