Falken ZIEX ZE320

Falken's new ZIEX ZE320 tire replaces the ZE310 Ecorun, offering enhanced performance and environmental friendliness. Launching in Europe in early summer 2024 with 60 sizes available by spring 2025, the ZE320 will cover 15 to 18 inches and support speeds up to 270 km/h. Early tests have shown the ZE320 delivers superior performance and lower rolling resistance, making it a notable advancement in Falken's tire lineup.

  • Posted the fastest times in both wet and dry handling, demonstrating excellent grip and balance. Near the top of the pack for noise levels with good overall refinement.
  • Struggled with curved aquaplaning, posting the worst result in test. Higher than average rolling resistance impacts, though the group was very close.
  • Falken keeps improving with each new tire, and the ZE320 shows they can compete with the premium brands. The handling performance in both wet and dry was impressive, but the curved aquaplaning performance suggests there's still room for improvement.

  • The Falken Ziex ZE320 delivered outstanding driving dynamics and the shortest braking distances on dry surfaces besides Bridgestone. It performed exceptionally well in wet conditions with excellent agility and good grip, achieving the fastest speed in the wet handling test at 73.9 km/h. Its quiet rolling noise (72.1 dB) added to overall comfort, though its more limited mileage of 35,520 kilometers was the main weakness holding it back from the top tier. Still, the Falken impressed with its balanced performance and sporty character, earning a solid "good" rating.

Have fitted new types twice the the front of my vw touran. Both times have only cover 8000 miles???

These tires have given good grip both wet and dry. The steering response is better than other previous brands. So far they are lasting well and with the added advantage of an accidental damage guarantee offer great value for money. I will be buying these again when they have worn out.

Given 78% while driving a Peugeot 308 sw 1.6 hdi (205/55 R16) on mostly motorways for 1,000 average miles
Use this set to replace my Goodyear efficient performance 2. the dry grip is impressive when compare to the Goodyear. been under heavy rain a few times and the wet grip is comparable with the Goodyear. However the fuel consumption is significantly worse then Goodyear with a motorway fuel consumption from ~64 mpg to 60mpg

It's worth keeping in mind that the fuel consumption of a new tire will be significantly worse than at worn state, so it's natural to drop fuel consumption when swapping from old to new tires, even if they have the same label rating.

Given 82% while driving a Nissan Note (195/55 R16) on mostly town for 1,000 average miles
Recently replaced all four tires on a 2014 Nissan Note 1.2DIG-S that I have recently acquired. The vehicle previously had a mix of cheap Chinese brand tires [of which two were quite worn and two had had previous puncture repairs] Used a local independent tire fitting shop who have good reviews and chose mid-range Falken Ziex ZE320. These appear to be a good mid-range choice [so far] Noise levels are definitely lower and grip/handling in both wet and dry conditions has improved over the previously fitted tires. I have used these both in normal local driving and some longer distance motorway drives and some driving on rural roads in Devon. Advertised tire ratings for this tire are 'C' for fuel economy, 'A' for wet grip and noise levels at 68dB.
As this is an initial review, I haven't commented on wear as it's too early to comment really but I thought it was worth putting up a review as this is a relatively new model of Falken tire only being released in Summer 2024.
