Given 100% while driving a Honda Civic Type R (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
I recently bought these tires for my Honda Civic Type R (FN2) to replace the Yokohoma Advanced Sport which were previously on the car.

I must say I am really impressed by the grip of these tires , they really stick to the road like glue. I feel fully confident taking bends/corners at speed. Performance both in dry and wet conditions is remarkable.

I can not really comment on the tire life as I have only driven

I'm the sort of driver (and biker) who I firmly believes that tires are one of, if not the most important component on your car or bike. I push my car quite hard from time to time, doing track days and trips to the Nurburgring etc, and for me the way a tire grips and handles is the most important thing. These Goodyears have excellent grip wet or dry, with wet grip particularly impressive. Good feedback, predictable at the limit, quiet running, and after over 10600 miles they have between 3 and 4mm of tread left. A very difficult tire to fault for me. Would buy again as long as German made ones are still available (I'm told they are now made in China and I've heard horror stories of poor grip, although Goodyear claim they are the same).

great when new, but suffered from tramlining effects very badly even when running over the white lines when they were > half worn, actually throwing the car around.

Given 30% while driving a Cadillac CTS (225/45 R17) on mostly town for 23,000 easy going miles
I am very disappointed with the tires, they have approx 23000 miles & they started getting very noisy at 10000, I have had them balanced & rotated several times & they have cupped badley, the original RSA'S were good when people ride with us they often ask about the road noise, they are way to expensive to preform so poorly. Denver area

Given 90% while driving a Audi A4 TDi Quattro Sport (235/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 6,000 spirited miles
i had these tires fitted because ive heard great reviews on them. ive now done about 6000 miles and these tires are just brilliant. i cant find a fault with the tires at all. they are super grippy in the dry and wet and dont let go in heavy cornering. the tires are very grippy in the wet almost to a stage that you really dont change your driving style from dry conditions because they are so confidence inspiring. the comfort levels again are excellent and there is minimal tire noise. i had them on during the winter snow and they held on ok, nothing great but they are ultra high perfomance SUMMER tires. so they arent designed for snow so again no fault there. the only pain is that they are quite soft and due to this they wear down quite quickly and they are expensive so if you do high milage it could become costly. would highly recommend to anyone without a second thought as long as your willing to pay the higher asking price.

Given 69% while driving a Audi S4 (235/40 R18 W) on mostly town for 9,000 average miles
Teriible. I was advised to have these tires on the S4 (V8) as they were the best suited for the car. Grip in both dry and wet were great. Road noise was minimal. The BIG downside is the longevity. 8000 miles - and I'm no Lewis Hamilton (well...not everyday!)
Would I buy again? NO. I would expect at least 12-15000 miles from a tire.
Lookin3 or Falken 452's next.

Given 83% while driving a Alfa Romeo 156 GTA (with Q2) (225/40 R18 W) on mostly country roads for 8,000 spirited miles
Very good grip levels in dry and wet, 'though I would rate them behind the Michelin PS2 I had previously. Under hard acceleration, they can squirm about quite a bit, something I've not experienced with other tires.

I did have Continental (they came with the car) and they never lasted more than 10,000 miles, tram0lined and were noisy. The GY F1 have done 15K on the front (just about to change them) and 20K on the back (still loads of tread)

Given 100% while driving a Audi A4 2.0 TDi 170 S Line (235/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 30,000 average miles
Just had my car serviced and was told the rears have 3.5mm of tread left. They have now covered a total 30k and I think there is about 5k left as they are on the rear.

I really have been impressed by these Eagle F1A's not only is the tread pattern nice but the side walls are square and look good on the RS6 style alloys, plus they have worn evenly across both tires.

Now the dry grip is superb but the real test for these tires is how good they are in the wet and TBH they are excellent. I have had them on daily commute to work which is 74 miles and on the motorway they cruise nicely. On some of the A and B roads I have had them on they have been awesome in all conditions. I’m not going to write a review about how good they are or are not in snow as they are a SUMMER TYRE!

But regular high speed blasts on the motorway and A roads and they just inspire total confidence, grip and control. The ONLY downside of these tires if any is the slightly high rolling resistance so for me it has been -2 mpg compared to some others I have tried before namely the PS2, but I regularly get 50+ mpg anyway.

Now its time for the Eagle F1A 2 in a few months.

Did run them in 235/40-18 front and 265/35-18 rear on my 528ia touring. The dry and wet grip is just fantastic and the wear is unbelieveable. Had them on for about 45´km rear and still run the front ones (now about 55´km). The only bad thing is they are a bit noisy. The best tire I did drive so far. Would buy them again 100%.
