Given 93% while driving a Mercedes Benz E250 CDI (245/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 8,000 average miles
I am a private hire driver covering many thousands of miles to and from airports. It is the first time that I have fitted winter tires. Previously my Mercedes E class was terrible in the snow when using normal summer tires. I can't believe the difference. I am driving up and down snow covered hills that I wouldn't have even attempted previously. So far I have managed to drop every client at their snow covered homes without problems. Amazingly they also seem to be quieter than my Pirelli summer tires. The only compromise is that my mpg I'd reduced by approx 10%, but I am more than happy to exchange the mpg for safety and keeping me running. If I can't drive, I don't earn. Very happy bunny

Given 58% while driving a Honda CIVIC 1.6 VTEC (195/60 R15 H) on mostly country roads for 20,000 spirited miles
Had these on my Civic and still on my MX5. As a Winter tire, they are OK. Stopping distances on packed snow less than half of Summer tires, I measured. However, do not cope with uphill climbs as well as my new Winter tires, which are Vred Wintrac Xtremes.

Given 93% while driving a Jaguar X type 2.0SE diesel (205/55 R16 V) on mostly country roads for 5,000 average miles
Purchased the tires for the winter months - for wife's car for carrying boy about in safely.
They have been performing very well - good grip in the wet and dry, run a little firmer than the the previous 17" - but overall a good tire.
Today the grip on ice and snow is incredible - as good as my 4x4 running all-terrain winter tires (general AT2's) - admit 2" of snow compacted to ice - but very slippy.
A GREAT TYRE THAT I HAVE TO RECOMMEND - I WILL BE BUYING AGAIN.

Given 93% while driving a Volkswagen Touareg (225/55 R18) on mostly country roads for 10,000 easy going miles
What a revelation. I had Hankook Optimos on my BMW 330i tourer and they felt soft, less precise than the Pirellis but had great grip and were great value. Now I have a VW Touareg and took off the Bridgestone Duellers and put on these Hanoook winter tires. Wow. I have just so enjoyed driving in the snow with the Hankooks. It is just amazing what I have driven through. I have driven up and down hills where I thought I could not and have had some very quizzical looks from pedestrians wondering how I could blast past them up hill! Very good grip in snow and slush, these tires bite right into the snow and I can feel the bite. Great tires, reassuring and I am a very happy Hankook owner.

Given 76% while driving a Skoda Fabia vRS (205/45 R16) on a combination of roads for 4,000 average miles
Bought in what turned out to be a very mild winter, I'm almost disappointed to not have been able to try these out in more than a handful of proper winter conditions.

For winter tires, these seem excellent. Dry grip seems as good as summer tires in day to day driving, and they are very confidence inspiring in the wet, with next to no aquaplaning even in severe wet conditions. The very little snow use they had they definitely had more control than summer tires.

Wear is negligible so far after a few thousand miles, they are just a little noisier and not quite as direct compared to summers, which is understandable due to the extra tread sipes. Price was very reasonable, imported in from mytires. I wouldn't hesitate to consider Hankooks now, maybe next wnter they will get more of a workout?

Given 93% while driving a Land Rover Discovery 3 (255/60 R18 H) on mostly town for 2,000 average miles
These boots have waded through a foot of snow on a road that nobody else could go up - no chains, just low ratio on the gearbox. Not a complaint, spin, loss of grip, anything.

During the negatives temperatures in Switzerland this winter, the Disco handled perfectly. Snow and other bad weather don't phase the car and hauling 3 tonnes of Coventry up and down mountains has seen wear to not be upsetting. Love these tires!

I have these on a BMW 118i ragtop. Excellent tire and excellent price - I find they're a good balance. Absolutely no complaints!

This was in Switzerland where we had plenty of snow and several weeks of negative temperatures.

Given 83% while driving a Fiat Grande Punto TJet (195/55 R16 H) on mostly country roads for 2,500 average miles
This is my first set of winter tires. High grip on dry, progressiveness and comfort are good too.
Good performances on wet, I haven't had the chance to test these tires on snow yet.
Quality/price ratio is very good, I would probably buy again.

2nd year running on winter tires from seeing how much of a difference they give! You fell safe to drive and you know you will stop before the lamp post! Hancook were slightly less money compared to others and they are proving to be really good. Superb at going through water on road with no dragging, would recommend!!!!

Given 96% while driving a Vauxhall Corsa (195/55 R16 H) on mostly country roads for 4,500 average miles
My first experience of winter tires and what a difference. We were they only car in our street that could get up the hill and onto the main road. Used from October to March covering just over 4000 miles. Fitted to FWD Corsa for approx £75 each. Excellent tire and will be buying again this year for my Golf.

Given 74% while driving a Ford Focus MK1 (205/50 R16) on a combination of roads for 1,000 spirited miles
Only done ~1000miles so far, but the Hankooks are a dramatic improvment over summer tires in the current cold/wet conditions. Dry handling seems fine, if a little less precise than summer tires. Haven't driven on snow as yet, so no feedback on this.

Given 89% while driving a Audi A3 TDi quattro sport (205/55 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 3,000 average miles
Own 2006 a3 tdi quattro on sports suspension. Car handles very neutrally on standard summer 225 45 r17 wheels BUT quattro or no quattro poor on slushy snowy surfaces especially on hilly Yorkshire roads. Once 205 55 r16 alloys fitted with Hankook winter tires ESP has never kicked in and truly amazing snow ice performance. Driven past many bemused dedicated 4wd vehicles running I suspect the wrong tire. Performs as well as if not better than leading brand winter tires. Will never drive summer tires in colder conditions again. Excellent tire at £70 per corner fitted.
