I have fitted these all round on my ibiza fr tdi, all i can say is wow!!
Had Toyo T1r an Falken FK452 before both good but these are much much better, quieter an have much better grip.
£59 each all in from R&M tires medway.

Having 400bhp in a FWD car is not much fun when you can't get it onto the road, this I experienced with my last set of tires Conti sport contact 3's.... Dry grip was good but I didn't rate them in the wet!

Have had the kumho's on for just over 4k and I'm impressed! Don't get me wrong tho.... In the wet I still can't give it full beans but I don't think there is a tire out there's which could do this!!

Dry grip is brilliant and handling in the wet has really improved!!

WOULD RECOMMEND HIGHLY!!

I've had these tires on the rear for almost 1,000 miles. Initially I was worried I made the wrong choice as they were a bit unpredictable, but after around 2/300 miles they really started to work well! Wet grip is great, Dry grip is even better, low road noise and they give excellent feedback for the rear of the car!

I've just ordered a front set which I review once i've had the chance, I'm feeling confident that I chosen the right tire for me! Once you get over the first 300 miles, they are a good tire!

Well, if you are like me and have a young family, educated in the
ways of driving by your boss, who is an undefeated 5 year rally
champion, and have a like for scoobies and are 40 years old,
then these tires are for you.

I could not justify spending
massive amounts of money on a set of tires that are going to stick
like the proverbial to a blanket cos I prefer to spend it on my
family and our life. So I looked in the reviews, and listened to my
tire guy, (whom I have known for many years.)
They have been on for a couple of weeks now which is not long but
long enough to get rid of the silicone.

I have just come back from
what I would regard as a test session and it was p***ing down with
rain. I gently pushed and pushed to find confidence and knowledge of
these tires and I was not disappointed. In a nutshell these tires
are capable of more than I will through at them with my family in
the car, (and there safety is of paramount importance to me.)
And on my own, are progressive enough with the feedback
to ensure I take the car home straight.

It always worried me how
easy the old tires would brake away around roundabouts in the wet,
and even though it is fun, not to mention impressive to see
someone drift a scooby. I now know my drifting days wet or dry are
limited to when I am alone in the car, because you do need to push
these tires a lot before they will brake away. And even when they
do brake away, they do not let go, they remain in good contact with
the road so if you want them to slide or drift further, you have
to push further they are very good for the price, very good for the
price. Under very heavy braking I was stunned.

(don't forget, this was in the rain)

I am going away to Europe with the car and family in 8 weeks, and I
know that I can sleep sound at night with my choice, and my tires.

Well, I have had these tires on for about 300 miles so far and they are just getting scrubbed in. I suspect the reviewer below in the Fabia has not worn the tires in enough at 100 miles. For the first 300 miles mine were pretty average, but now all the mould release agents etc have come off and the tires are worn in a little I'm impressed.
Dry grip is on a par with the Pirelli P zero Rosso I had on before, but wet grip is far far better. Noise is down compared to the Pirelli and they seem a more comfortable tire. The car certainly feels more planted on the road than previous
In regards for value for money, they are amazing at £83 a corner fitted from black circles, compared to £120 a corner for the Pzeros.

i had pirelli pzero's on before the khumo ecsta le sport i dissagree with what everyone says with conering ability.

the pirellis I had running before were fantastic wore out after about 8k replaces for the khumos and i can safely say i will be going back to the khumos grips okay conering ability is horrendous in comparison to pirellis i went into a corner thinking i might not come out the other end and not even pushing it in comparison to the pirellis capabilitys id say around 30 percent less holding than the previous tires. not great will be giving them a miss in future. thinking about changing them a 100o miles in.

Bought the Kumho KU39 after 3 weeks of researching different tires for my BMW 525d E60. I originally had runflats on my car. RFT in my opinion are the work of the devil!!! The ride is very stiff and extreamly noisy. After changing them to the Kumho Non runflats, I was impressed the moment I drove out of the Tire garage. The ride home was very comfortable and extreamly quiet, with very little or no road noise. The car is a little lighter to steer and corners so much better.
Kumho tires really really changed my car.

Bought these after extensive months of research and to be honest there wasn't a lot of reviews available due to the newness of the tires, but read enough reviews to know they were worth taking a punt on. Well what a revelation!!! I came off Yokohama C-Drives which in my opinion were an excellent tire in the wet and dry but the KU-39’s were a whole level above them. In the dry they were really excellent with high levels of grip and very forgiving of over-exuberant cornering techniques. They are near enough to silent and that's comparing them to the Yoky's which themselves are a very quiet tire. In the dry they hang on like a granny to a handbag and offer extremely high cornering speeds - and give the driver immense confidence. In the wet, they are, if possible, even better. They do stick like the proverbial baby poo to a blanket and offer wet cornering at dry speed times...I have been driving for nearly 30 years and these are easily the best wet weather tires I have EVER driven on. The braking is prodigious - from 60 km/h in the dry I can pull the car up in literally 2 car lengths and in the wet it’s more like 3 car lengths. Crazy braking that inspires huge confidence when you stomp on the pedal. All in all an awesome tire and the only downside I can forsee is tire life - the tires are a little softer than a lot of tires and this might mean shorter life - but with a wife and two kids I don't mind that they make the car safer, even if I go through tires a little quicker. For feedback I have two driving styles - Dr. Jeckle when the wife and kids are in the car, Mr. Hyde when they are not... e.g. drive it like it's stolen... final word on them is a positive one - they have the world’s biggest rim protector on them...it's not a lip, the whole sidewall is recessed, making it extremely difficult for the gutter to get anywhere near the rim edge. Will I buy them again? You bet, especially as I got these for $150 Australian, which makes them the buy of the decade!

Khumo's are way better than the OEM Michelin Primacy HPs they replaced. The grip is better, the ride is better and quieter. The wear rating is 320 over Michelins 240 so they should last a lot longer. And they cost me £101 each instead of £160. Michelin should be ashamed!

Wow what can I say, I love these tires they hold the road so well the feedback is excellent too, they just wont let go, I had Michelin's on there when I got the car and I changed them for these along with the wheels now running 215/45/R17 the tires only cost about £60 each so not to bothered that they wont last as long, I have covered 5000 miles since fitting and they are 2mm away from the markers now.

Overall I am very pleased with them they have got to be one of the best tires for the money and I think they hold the road better than the pricey Michelin's

Previously used Kumho KU31 which I found great for the money - and quiet!

The new KU39's are better! Only had on for 1000miles so can't comment on wear but the best bit about them are the noise. This is tire is very comfortable and quiet! Hands great in both wet and dry. No complaints and I will continue to use Kumho tires. Only cost £90 fitted p/corner.

I replaced second hand well worn Toyo T1Rs and the comfort is the biggest difference. Yes there will be tires that grip better, last longer, but none will do the job better that these for the price.... or comfort.

Absolutely magic tires!!

I drive a Volvo V70 2.4T 200bhp very hard and have previously had a set of Goodyear F1's then Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's on the car. It's a big but powerful estate and demands a lot from the tires.

The Goodyears were good but wore out very quickly (10k on the fronts) and became very noisy. Then came the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's and WOW what a difference. Grip was fantastic in wet and dry but again wore out very quickly (8k on the fronts)and became very noisy.

So time to replace them and I wanted a change in tread pattern from the wave patterns to a nice standard 5 cirecumfrential block tire. Then.......I chose Kumho Ecsta Le Sport KU39 tires extra loan and all I can say is WOW, WOW, WOW!

Absolutelt class. They are quiet, comfortable, responsive and grip it fantastic in wet and dry. I also pull a caravan that is 1200kg and have just encountered a 1 in 4 hill start in the rain with the caravan on, so total laden weight of car & caravan was in excess of 3 tonnes and it pulled away fine and traction control didn't even kick in as they was so much grip.

Basically, you can see that I know my tires having done the Goodyears then Vredesteins and what a difference the Kumho's make. It's like a different car!

Wear seems ok but only done 1200 miles so far, so will keep you posted and a £100 fitted per corner on 235/40/18 extra load on a Y rating, then you can't grumble at that.

I would give 100% all round but can't comment on the brealaway point of the tire yet as I haven't pushed them but don''t think there will be much point as the grip is too good.

Go on...treat yourself and buy a set!!!!
