I own among other vehicles a BMW e39 520i wearing the NEXEN N FERA SU1 for almost 5 years now. I am an experience driver, careful but also enjoying fast steady driving in highways. NEXEN tires proved to be surprisingly reliable, comfort not noisy and they performed just like premium brands the car sit on the past 20 years of it's live. My Tire shop owner suggested these tires prompting me to go for it without any doubt considering back then the deal as a very clever one. Cheap and trustworthy. He showed confidence to suggest that NEXEN will be a respectable player in the market for the years to come. As of today that proved to be the truth indeed. Dry, wet, cornering and above all the wear are nothing less than "super". Nowadays though the brand turned to be much more expensive which is a disappointing development. I recommend though these tires without any concern. i put them on my other BMW520D E60 a couple of days ago expecting them to be as good as they should. Perfect tires

Use them on my lwb vw kombi and can't fault them in wet or dry

This is an end of life review. I decided to have it swapped out at 53000km after almost 3 years fitted on my car. The noise level is the biggest reason I decided to change the tire even though the depth still have a good 2.5mm left. Braking distance has also become longer at this high mileage. The wet grip is still very good with little aquaplanning. Nexen has decided not to continue this tire anymore.

Given 40% while driving a Skoda (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 14,000 average miles
Those tires came on 2021 Skoda Scala and I was happy enough with the grip. Had the car from new with new tires. Mainly driven on the motorway and after driving 13,000km I noticed that the tires are starting to split everywhere and chunk are starting to fall off them. It's like they just started to disintegrate by themselves. Plenty of grip left on them but they are splitting and I am now afraid to drive on them as they might blow out at speed. Will have to change them now. Will never go near them again.

I use the N'Fera SU1 to replace my Dayton DT30 and the N'Fera SU1 is much better in every aspect. When i drive it for spirited drives and highway runs it does a very good job on keeping the noise down. Once the tires are warm it grips in corners very well, better than Dayton DT30. In the rain it disperse water quickly compared to DT30...how is that..well from dry to suddenly entering a rain curtain that is just pouring, it didn't change the way the tires react to those rainfall compared from Dayton DT30 that would fight on the tires to disperse water at 120kmh. Not kidding.

Good dry grip as long as you are on a nice road surface and cant really fault the wet grip. Definitely not racing slicks but for your money it doesnt get alot better unless you go for some high end expensive tires like ps4’s. Pretty average for road noise as I haven’t really noticed any difference. Feedback seems good but its hard to tell exactly how much of an improvement it was with the numb boat like steering you get in an astra. Would definitely recommend if you want some good reasonably priced rubber.

Four members of our family have bought this tire and all have experienced a side wall complete blow out whilst the tires have a lot of tread left on them.

Given 80% while driving a Audi 2.0tdi 140 sline sportback (255/35 R19) on mostly motorways for 20,000 average miles
Got these on my A4 2.0 TDI. Mostly highway miles, daily driver. After 35K kilometers there is 2.5mm and 2.0mm left on fronts, Around 6 on rear. Decided to replace them with Nexen SU'4. Was expecting a little less wear but it is not too bad also considering the lower price. I like how quiet they are but provide plenty grip in wet & dry even after all these miles. I was expecting poor performance at lower mm's but the performance decrease is very limited. Have had Vredestein Ultrac Vorti before which lasted longer and are more suitable for a sporty style of driving but were quite noisy and had tears in inner walls after 40k kilometers.. The NEXEN's are a very good alternative for A-brand tires if you have a non-sporty driving style.

Given 66% while driving a BMW F11 520d (245/45 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 6,200 spirited miles
Dry Grip: the grip level is not really hight, especially in braking. Wet Grip: feels safe on wet. Easy to control with an predictable behavior. Road feedback: you can notice quite early, wenn the tire loses grip. Street conditions are also good noticeable in the steering wheel. Handling: The behavior of the tire is very predictable. It is signalizing early if it loses grip. The front and rear is very balanced on my car (weight distribution f/r/ ~47/53) and the tire handles very good with it. Especially in the wet. But the overall grip level is not on the level of an PS4. Wear: Im driving the tire for 6 month and 10000km. Often i take curves hard and one time i was driving on fast mountain roads. So i wonder how slowly the tires are wearing. Comfort: could be a little bit quieter for a touring tire and a little bit less bumpy. But in total, you can live with it fairly well. Buy again: If you want a real UHP tire and can spend a little bit more money, this is not the right tire for you. If you will safe money and want a slowly wearing touring tire which is good in the wet, this is the right tire for you.
