Given 89% while driving a Ford fusion (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 10,000 average miles
Have lived in New Hampshire for all of my 45 yrs, various cars/trucks. Some AWD/4x4, some not. With so many miles to hockey, baseball, soccer with kids and gas bill was killing me in my truck. Got a Fusion, with plan to buy snows, and to hope for the best, with truck as emergency ride. Got these tires on sale (Fusion has odd size, so changed sizes to a sidewall about .4 inches taller but fit fine, size listed here is factory size for car). We have had a lot of snow this year, with over 3 ft in the past 3 weeks. Tires have been great in all conditions, deepest snow about 6-8 inches while driving. Also live on very steep hill and have got up hill when it is snow, slush and icy. So impressed I sold my truck...I would definitely buy these again. Note to those not used to driving in the snow: they don't make you bulletproof, don't do 100 mph in the snow, we all laugh at you when you are in the ditch. Be reasonable and these tires will do their job very well.

Given 90% while driving a Mazda 3 Series (225/50 R17) on a combination of roads for 30,000 spirited miles
I have had these on three cars now. I live in Canada with lots of icy conditions early inteh winter and then heavy snow for the rest.
I am blown away by these tires. They are 1/2 the price of the competitors and are fabulous. I put a set on my son's car that is so confident I am with them.

The scam of this whole tire business is that rubber is rubber. Whether its Chinese rubber or European rubber rubber is rubber. It's like golf balls. You pay for marketing when you buy Titleist. I buy taylormade and blow by my buddies at 60 cents on the dollar at 320 yards. Same rubber, same skins, same performance. Different name.

Tires are no different. You are trained by marketing to believe that names matter.
Do yourself and your family a favour.
Put some bucks in your pocket and buy these.
Only a fool pays more.

Given 83% while driving a Toyota Tacoma (265/75 R16) on mostly motorways for 10 spirited miles
I live in Northern Canada and have to drive 200km (one way) to my mining job: I purchased these tires for my Tacoma once I took the job and knew I was going to constantly be "road tripping" in the winter. I went from constantly needing to use 4x4 on hills and offroad (running BFG KO2) to scampering around in 2wd with minimal drama (running the studded Sailun WST1). Definitely a very solid performing tire when the conditions get sketchy!

Given 91% while driving a Toyota matrix XR (205/55 R16) on a combination of roads for 60 spirited miles
I live in Toronto and often drive a couple hours north in the winter. My daily driver is a 2010 Toyota Matrix. I previously had a set of Blizzak WS90. The WST1 are great tires in all conditions. I also have a set of Sailun all seasons that I use from spring to fall. I bought my winters 5 winters ago and when it came time to remove them in the spring, I knew they would need replacing this winter so, I left them on all summer. They now have very little tread left and it snowed this weekend. Surprisingly, they were still better than any all seasons in the snow with almost no tread left. I just ordered a set of WSTX so we'll see how they are. I highly recommend Sailun tires, both their all seasons and winters. I also recommend that if you drive in a place that has winter driving conditions, do yourself a favour, put a set of winter tires on. They could save your life. I'm both a racecar driver, having raced formula cars, sedans including ice racing.. I'm also a professional driver coach.

Given 91% while driving a Acura RDX a spec (235/60 R18) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
Just put these on our AWD Acura RDX, and it completely changed the vehicle from a solid winter unit to an absolute warrior in the snow/ice. Bang for buck you cannot beat these tires. Two thirds the cost of the bigger brand name winter tires and perform just as well. Saliun has really emerged as a quality tire manufacturer the last few years, and I would definitely buy these again in a heartbeat.

Ford Mustang (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 8,000 spirited miles
I bought the ice blazers for my 2011 for mustang at the beginning of winter and it’s nearing the end of winter and I’m very impressed. I was sceptical at first because mustangs are rwd vehicles but for 500$ I couldn’t say no. These tires are Affordable and good quality. I live in Toronto and this winter we had a lot of snow storms. I can say for a fact that I was able to drive through these snow storms with ease, up hill, down hill without much loss of traction

Given 84% while driving a Nissan 350z (225/55 R17 T) on mostly motorways for 5,000 spirited miles
I purchased 4 of these last March 2017 , while winter was almost gone I didn't really try them with bad weather until right now (It is being f... freezing/snowing/icing in Chicago).

First of all I probably have one of the worst cars for winter (performance rear wheel drive high torque no TC open differential manual transmission) , that's why I felt forced to by winter tires , my first winter tires...

Expectations where kind of low, I am from a warm place (never seen snow before) and I did not imagine a tire could change that much the behavior of the car. Also, buying a non brand name tire got me nervous, but the price was too good for not at least trying it.

So an expected surprise was that just by changing tires (from summer performance to these) when dry, my car was not a sports cars anymore, it felt like a van... everything was spongy , steering wheel less reactive and you could feel the tire deforming more than a conventional tire, however this happens with all winter tires , specially if it is warmer than it should...

On the other hand , I have been extremely surprised how good they perform on wet , snow and ice. I had the chance of comparing myself side to side with SUVs with ALLSEASON on it and my traction , stopping and cornering abilities where WAY superior to them. I have been able to drive (below normal speeds) with bad weather conditions when others had to pull over (AWD & 4X4 included), the level of confidence that the tire provides in ugly days it is just mind blowing.

So my recommendation is, if you see snow, ice ,rain and cold weather (below freezing) often give a try to this tire, if you just see cold weather but no that much snow go for a winter performance tire (WSL2) , you will have less trade offs on dry and slightly over 32s F days.

Summarizing , if you can not move to a warmer place , just spend the extra money on a set of winter tires and rims, you will never regret.

Given 86% while driving a BMW 335i (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 120 spirited miles
I had a set of Michelin XIce Xi3's and they just didn't do it on the BMW 335I. I switched them out for a set of these Sailun Ice Blazer WST1 recommended by a friend and what a difference. I have full control in all weather conditions and have no regrets about my purchase. The car is able to be controlled despite its power in any winter weather and the ride and handling were not sacrificed too much. I would buy these again without doubt. Best winter tire for the price so far!

Given 81% while driving a Vauxhall (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 6,000 spirited miles
When you first have these tires fitted they feel vague. But after a few hundred miles of bedding in they become very responsive and you get excellent feedback on what the car is doing.
On greasy roads they do tend to spin at the front. Even with traction control on.
In the wet they are very good and in the dry they stick like glue.
In the snow and ice is where they really impressed. Slide a little in the snow if pushed too hard but very controllable. And in the ice they are excellent, got me up a steep hill covered in ice without any worries at all. I even managed to pass 4x4s with ease.
Ware rate is good and should last a couple more winters. Would buy again but becoming a little hard to come by in the UK.
Very good for the price.

Given 70% while driving a Subaru Impreza (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
To previous comment, maybe you don't know how to drive in snow, or at all. These tires are a great bang for your buck. Sure you can spend twice the price for Michelin or Pirelli, but if the car isn't good in snow or wasn't balanced or you drive bad in snow, the tires have nothing to do with it. And how can you blame the tire brand if you have no clue how long they have been used ? I bought these for my Subaru Impreza, and if you ask me they are great tires.

Good tire, even tho it's made in China, i looked at them at -30 and they were still tender, the traction on deep snow is good, on ice it is a little slippery but still comparable to higher price tire brand. Overall i had a great experience with them.

Given 22% while driving a Hyundai Sonata GLS V6 (205/55 R16) on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
Working as a management consultant, I rent about 50 cars a year. Recently I was given a Hyundai Sonata, a car I've had before. Not one of my favorites, but a decent mid range sedan in 2013.

Driving home from the airport in 3-5 cms of snow and wintery conditions, I was surprised, even shocked at how hard it was to keep the car tracking straight. Even the slightest acceleration sent the car sliding out of its lane. At this point I was going 50 kms an hour.

Normally I don't check the brand of my rental car tires unless the performance was exceptional in one way or another, but at my first stop, I stooped down to see what kind of tires I was using.

When I saw a the Sailun brand, all became clear. An aggressive looking winter wedge tread pattern does nothing to help these tires in snow.

Stopping distance: terrible
Control while turning, accelerating in a turn: abysmal
Starting off from a stop: not good.

I don't know what these tires, cost they must be cheap, but if you are thinking they are worth the money they are not! A decent mid level all season gives more traction and control.

My personal car has one of the best winter tires on it and to think of what I can accomplish in that car in the same conditions, makes me angry that Sailun is allowed to call these a winter tire.
