Triangle TR968 Reviews - Page 5

Given 25% while driving a BMW M3 (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 1,200 average miles
Normally, I only get top-shelf tires. These were a temporary measure, bought used.
In the wet, there is hardly any grip. Beginning understeer in some corners at normal speeds. The wet patches in my parking garage had to be negotiated at no more than 5mph in order to not hit the pillars.
Grip OK in the dry, but not exactly praiseable.

Given 81% while driving a Volkswagen Scirocco 2.0 TDI 140hp (235/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 45,000 spirited miles
I do alot of motor milage in my 2.0 VW Sciroco & the standard high end tires were costing me fortune to replace each year, so I made a decision to try Triangle TR968's for less than 1/2 price a set. These tires are safe, durable & perform just as good as any high end tire I have used over the years; even in heavy rain. I would even consider them as an alternative track day tire.

Given 26% while driving a MG MGF (205/50 R15 V) on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
Do not buy these tires (or any triangle tires for that matter). These are the worst tires ever. I was driving along a wet road and coming up to a slight left hand bend when the rear wheels lost traction, would not regain traction and I ended up in trees. I was only doing 45mph in a rear wheel drive MGF. I only just bought it a few weeks before and never thought about checking the make of the tires at the time. I will never have budget tyes likes these on my car again and will check before I buy from now on. I've compared the wet grip of these tires to a Falken and the triangle is 21% compared to 87% - enough said. The wear is excellent. I don't think they will ever wear as they are so solid, thus slippy.

Given 27% while driving a BMW 318is (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
Had the tires fitted on a BMW 318i E46. Steering wheel shakes uncontrollably at 80 KM / Hrs and gets better as you pass the 100 mark. Though it was something to do with the wheel balancing, wheel alignment, control arms and shocks, only to discover the tire surface is not so smooth, with so many bumps if you spin the wheel with your hand on top of it. Had to change to standard BMW tires and the car was back to normal operation. The noise they make is so unbearable especially when you want to drive with windows open. Wonder how Triangle managed to get approval to sell such a dangerous product and what kind of tests they are taken through.

Given 59% while driving a Nissan 300zx (225/45 R17) on track for 3,700 spirited miles
After reading the reviews i feel compelled to give a far more acurate review of the triangle tires ! Ill start by saying the tires are front 224 45 18s rear 265 35 18 on a 612atw hp nissan 300zx ! Previous to the triangles i have used bridgestone so3's and before them some pilot sport's ! The triangles added almost 3 seconds a lap at manfield race track yep 3 seconds so i would consider them a pretty good "cheap tire" not sure what all you other reviewers are on about but obviously the price is more of a consideration than actual performance ... oh and a have a gps max speed of 294kph and hey they still going strong

Given 21% while driving a Ford S Max (215/60 R16 H) on mostly town for 0 average miles
These tires were fitted to a ford smax that we bought at a ford dealership. They had just fitted two of them to the front as the stickers were still on them when we picked it up.

5weeks they lasted!!!! Had to take them off. I unlike ford have a care for my wife and family and as so i couldn't have left these types on any longer. You would spin wheel on a dry day and on a wet day you went into corners with one eye shut as you might not male it out the other side!!!

Worst tires ever. Can't believe a dealer would have put them on.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!

Given 37% while driving a BMW 530D M sport (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 2,000 average miles
These are the worst tires I have ever used . One writer wrote are these tires even legal !
I would strongly advise anyone to reconsider buying these tires . They were fitted to a BMW 530D 245/4018. I got rid of the car I thought there was something up with the handling.

Road noise ridiculous, dont comprimise comfort and safety by buying these cheap tires. What you see is what you get. After 6 months i had to change tires all four due to the road noise.
