Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08RS Reviews - Page 3

Given 96% while driving a Honda Civic Type R (225/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 3,000 spirited miles
Running the old AD08R I found that they had a short heat range would be OK once up to temp but then really driving the car extremely hard for about 15 20 miles they would become greasy loosing traction the tires go off becoming grained/But the new version the AD08Rs are great the tire once up to running temp and driving flat out the tires just keep getting better and don't go off our grain can handle the higher temperatures maintaining good grip well impressed with the new AD08Rs over the older version

The new AD08RS tire is just not good, feels like a hard cheap tire, hardly any grip in dry, even worse in wet, doesnt give any feedback, once you really get some heat in and it gets better but its still not a patch against the old AD08R which was a good tire before they discontinued and bought out this rubbish version, everything that was good with the old tire is lost. Used to run the old AD08R Tire which was excellent and i always re-purchased them, i will not be re-purchasing the AD08RS its really not that great...sorry yoko!, its been emotional. tra mate.x

virtually the same as a previous AD08R. I've been driving them all the year. I wasn't on the circuit. I drive them only on roads. I rode cautiously in the wet and then it's okay. They are perfect when dry. Of course you need to think of warming up before a quick ride.

I’ve run AD08R ‘s since they were first released. Amazing tire!

My driving is a mixture of fast road and track use.

I took the new AD08RS’s over to the alps and covered a couple of thousand miles.

The compound is noticeably harder and there is a lot less dry grip. I found them to be quite unpredictable- sometimes they’d grip and others they wouldn’t. Not great when you’re on a mountain pass!

I won’t be buying these again.

I’ve had 2 sets of the previous Ad08r compound on the car before for road/ track use and 2 trips to the Nurburgring and they were excellent but the new Ad08rs tire is not as good , the compound is a lot harder and I thought the car struggled with dry grip at the Nurburgring this time around , the car lacked the confidence the previous R compound gave .
I will be looking else where for a Trackday tire in the future I’m sad to say
