Given 79% while driving a BMW Z4 (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 20,000 spirited miles
Dry grip is probably second to none (certainly that I have tried) for a tire with enough tred to drive on the road in the rain.

That said - they do not hold a candle to slicks on track and having recently driven to Germany in the wet and driven the nordschleife in the wet I can confirm they are not really very good in the wet at all when it gets down to it (the back end was jumping every second and I was being overtaken by everything as i tiptoed round... although the rear tred was down to around 2-3mm).

I guess it depends on what you want them for.

Given 94% while driving a Volkswagen Golf GTI Turbo mk4 (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 10,000 average miles
I have put these tires on my mk4 golf gti turbo, 300bhp. and also a set on my van citroen belingo. in my opinion you cant buy a better road/track tire. the grip you get is outstanding, and the feed back is second to none, i have used my car and van in both track and fast road applications in the wet and dry. i love these tires, im a pretty aggresive driver for me this tire cannot be beat on any level as a all round tire and i have used the best well thort i had used the best, it will take some tire to get me to change from the AD08 on any vehicle i ever own from now on.
try some you wont be dissapointed.

Given 99% while driving a BMW 325i M Sport (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 15,000 spirited miles
Absolutely phenomenal level of dry grip for a road tire. Improved the handling, road comfort & feedback at high speeds over previous Bridgestones & Michellin Pilots. Wet grip is excellent clears water well, but I never push my car in the wet & drive according to road, weather condition.

The wear is good 15000 miles & over 4mm even wear. Although I have switched the fronts to the rear after 10000 miles.

Would recommend to anyone as they feel incredibly safe.

Given 83% while driving a Suzuki swift sport (205/45 R17 W) on mostly motorways for 15,000 spirited miles
They completely improved my cars grip and although we have some of the worse roads around they are quite comfortable for a semi-slick tire!
I'd buy again and again...

Given 83% while driving a Mazda MX5 (205/50 R15) on mostly country roads for 1,000 spirited miles
I bought these tires with some trepidation as I was slightly worried about wet grip yet when the heavens open the car feels far more compliant and grip levels are easier to ascertain (Though I do drive sensibly when the heavens open). If you’re not silly I can’t see them being an issue.
In the dry the car handles superbly, they have given me more confidence so I can’t criticise them at all. Great tire if you don’t mind the premium price. Friend had a set on his DC2 Intergra and he also raved about them (Main reason I procured them for my MX5).

Given 59% while driving a Mazda RX8 (225/40 R18) on track for 1,000 spirited miles
I kind of bought these by mistake, I reviewed lots and got confused with the 048 and 08, as I use this car always on track. They overheat after a short time and the rubber starts moving across the tire and eventually peeling of.My one track day in the wet proved they are not up to these conditions. I would not recommend for mainly track use.

Given 83% while driving a Honda Integra DC2 (225/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 4,000 spirited miles
Nothing short of OUTSTANDING.

I've never experienced grip levels of this sort on a FWD car. every aspect of the tires grip and response was superior to any other road tire available. feed back is one of the Honda Integra TypeR DC2's strong points, and by jove do you fell every little thing that the car is doing with these beasts on.

In the dry it is nearly impossible to get the car to actually understeer! which is aided by the car, however the drive is second to none. In the wet it is a different story, I have experienced considerable understeer and aqua-planing during heavy to treacherous downpours. However this is under spirited driving which i suppose is not advised. In damp to wet conditions they are OK - average , in other words i wasn't massively impressed.

Overall however they are something else, these tires are built for fast road and track driving and they inspire confidence which is unrivaled by any other tire i have tried and experienced to date. If you want the best feedback, grip and response available from your cars performance you can'y get better than these tires. I'm pretty sure I have even achieved 0-60 sprint times as fast if not marginally faster than Hondas supposed (6.5secs) fastest times in a DC2 due to excess grip levels.

In addition I have taken them off for winter with 4mm of tread left, the reason being... I want to keep them for the track this summer :-)

Given 90% while driving a Subaru Impreza (215/40 R17) on mostly country roads for 3,000 spirited miles
Staggering! These are the best tires I have ever used on my Impreza's. I have used Goodyear GSD3's (V-pattern's), Falkern Super Steel 595's, Toyo T1R's (terrible), Goodyear Vreddie's.

I went from the T1R to the AD08 and whilst in the tire fitter's it was obvious seeing the two side by side (the T1R's had only completed 1K miles), the construction of the Yokohama was far superior. The carcass was very solid - sidewall and main tread part. A friend who was with me joked they hardly need inflating.

First drive out (120 miler round Shropshire's finest B-roads) was a revelation. Basically they seemed to totally sort my Type R Impreza. Turn-in was direct with good feedback. General road feedback was good too, allowing a more fluid, connected drive. Grip levels (dry) are brilliant, all the way up to the limit. When the limit is reached there is a wide amount of safe, easily explorable progression. There's no sudden letting go.

The shoulder's of most tires would be showing signs of wear after about 1K miles (car only used for blats out), but the Yoko's have not worn in this manner, staying good

In short I am very impressed with the tire, they do everything you could want from a tire and do it well. They seem to suit the Impreza very well indeed. Highly recommended, and will buy again

Given 83% while driving a Nissan 200sx (225/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 7,000 spirited miles
Great tires, super super sticky in the dry, the best I've ever experienced in gact. also noticeably more comfortable than my last set. I have these on two of my cars I like then so much. Only down side is wet weather behavior. A little bit of rain is no issue, but I've had some aquaplaning on standaning water at over 60mph in torrential conditions, but as long as you drive accordingly they are super.

Given 83% while driving a Toyota Starlet Glanza V (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 400 spirited miles
Only had these on for around a week and already driven them in torrential downpours and extreme sun and they've performed extremely well in both!

These tires in the dry, have not given up on me yet. I'm almost scared to see how far I can push them just because I don't think I will stay in my seat. G-Force isnt even the term with these.... These... Weapons!

Good strong side walls, so not the comfiest of rides but if you want comfort why are you looking at a review of this tire?
Suprisingly not as noisy as I thought they'd be and felt very stable at high speeds!

I would definately buy again without hesitation!

Given 81% while driving a Honda Civic Type R (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 3,000 spirited miles
Used these on my EK9 at the nurburgring. Used in both wet and dry conditions and performed well in both. Can push these to the limit and they still feel like they have more to give. Very good feedback and consistant grip levels.

Would deffo buy again.
