I purchase a second hand Audi Q5 45 tfsi quattro with those Yokohama Parada Spec-X PA0 already mounted on it.
The tires were also new (fitting for just a few months). I live in a tropical country so good wet braking/handling is a must for me.
Let me be direct: those tire are pure garbage!
Pro:
- They can last long as they look almost like new after 10.000 km
- I did not have to buy them
Cons:
- Extremely dangerous under heavy rain. The car was aquaplaning at speed between 30-50 km/h. My Audi A8 with cheaper tire did not show this kind of unsecured behavior
- As you can expect, wet braking is not great either
- When tire are warm or with abrasive road (concrete), they can overheat really quickly, leading to the car sliding in dry braking and in curve. I am fine with a bit of understeer but this extend is very hard to control
- Can slide easily in curve when you accelerate a bit. Did me this not later than today and it was really unexpected
I tried to keep those tire as much as I could as they were new and felt it would be a waste to trash them. But they are really a safety issue and I cannot accept this anymore.
I will replace them in a few days with either Pilot Sport 4 SUV, Potenza Sport or PZero PZ4.
