Bridgestone Adrenalin RE003 Reviews - Page 6

Changed to a set of the RE003's at 25,000 km's on my 2015 STI. I am now at 55,000 and looking at replacing them with another set. These tires make the grip levels so high that I can't actually find the limit in the dry on the street. I am not brave enough and I need a race seat / harness as the grip see's me moving around in the cabin to much... I highly recommend these tires to everyone I know and I am really impressed with how well they have lasted. Correct tire pressures would be the key here I think. I am running 39psi all round with -1degree of front camber and 0degree toe.

The tires completely transformed the car. coming from Kuhmo KU39s i think i felt a drop in wet grip, particularly over big puddles and extremely wet surfaces to begin with, but once the tires wore in they became a lot better in the wet. They don't have a large amount of tread depth which doesn't help them a whole lot in the rain, but wet road surfaces themselves are no challenge for this tire. Impressively they are extremely progressive on the limit and you'll be able to tell when you're loosing grip. They do take the feeling out of steering a little bit, but nothing terrible and made up for the wet and dry grip. Great street and track tire, just have to be mindful of air pressures, over inflating them will come at a cost of grip.

Given 39% while driving a Mazda 6 Series (215/45 R17) on mostly town for 7,000 average miles
I have driven 10 000 km on these tires in one year, in a sedate 2004 Mazda Atenza. I bought all 4 tires in the same purchase in Newmarket, Auckland, NZ this week in May last year (2015). The rear tires are now shot and have tread of 1.6mm, the front have 5mm. Nobody, even Bridgestone, can explain to me why the wear is so excessively fast. I am not impressed with this. Absolutely no point purchasing a Road Hazard Warranty. They have 'kindly' offered a discount on my next pair, but frankly only 100% discount will do!

Given 87% while driving a Subaru forester 2.5xt (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 2,000 spirited miles
Haven't had them for long but they're super grippy in the dry and I was very surprised with their wet grip too. Noise isn't too bad and ride quality is good still. Can't comment on wear yet but I'll be happy with 20,000kms. Great tire and I picked up a set of 4, balanced, fitted and alignment for $600aus in a 225/50r17 which isn't a common size. Keen to try some 245s once I get wider wheels.

Given 87% while driving a Subaru Forester (215/60 R16) on mostly country roads for 10,000 spirited miles
Fitted to my wife's Forester (which I drive occasionally). So, a sporty tire in a mostly non-sporty context. I'm interested in tires & when I've driven the Forester I've had a bit of an exploratory "go" on familiar twisty roads in dry & wet conditions. Conclusions?

Dynamically, it's a very talkative & responsive tire that operates at low slip angles yet is not snappy when at the limit of its adhesion. Further, recovery of grip in that transition stage is easy to modulate. So, a nicely behaving tire for both the enthusiast who can "play" it & the non-enthusiast who won't be caught out by untoward behaviour on the tires' part in, say, an emergency avoidance manoeuvre (which I've simulated).

As for absolute grip levels, my impression is that it is way good indeed in dry condition, streaming wet "tread pattern" conditions & merely slick "compound" conditions. Buy with confidence.

Not that it is of any interest to me but the tires didn't seem to me to be noticeably uncomfortable or noisy (my wife certainly has not complained & she is more concerned about these things than me). As for longevity, I think that, on current indications, they will be faster wearing than most competitors but that bothers me not at all as it's often the trade-off for a wet-grippy compound.

Great tires, amazing dry grip and feedback. Very comfortable for an ultra high performance tire.

Given 77% while driving a Ford Mondeo Titanium 2.0 TCDI (235/40 R18 W) on mostly motorways for 8,125 average miles
It's a nice tire I would say, it's very good for dry road, it's comfortable and not really noise if we compare to other performance tire. But if I tended to compare it with Goodyear F1A2, which was my previous tire of my Mondeo MK4. The grip on wet condition is not that good and I'm not as confident as driving with F1A2. Indeed wet grip of RE003 is better than RE002 but I would ask more if it's possible. The other thing is that I have drived Goodyear F1A2 for over 44,000 km until it wore to the safety line. But I don't think RE003 would give me the same result.

Given 84% while driving a Mazda 3 2005 (225/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 500 spirited miles
Coming from Michelin Pilot Sport 3. Very good tires, specially in the wet but you need to add + 2 to 3 psi in the front else its too soft (touting like). Very pricey here in Mauritius at Rs6000 each. RE003 better in every way except in wet but its only Rs3200 for one. Suddenly the michelin seems like a rip off! Will stick to RE003 the same way it sticks to the road!

Given 84% while driving a Mazda MX5 (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 0 spirited miles
Great Tire, hard to make squeal, I drive a MX5 hard, with track day camber and tow in settings front and rear. its so neutral with these tires. No idea if they are noisy, I have lots of noise anyway. Against Toyo Proxis they are maybe the same kind of grip, but no squeal, they are just diffrent. I will make my stnadrad tire going forward. 195 / 50 R15

Given 89% while driving a Renault Clio 172 Cup (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 5,000 spirited miles
The best tire we have had on this car, spirited driving from Christchurch to Akaroa over hilly passes shows how good this tire is. Increadibly high limits in the dry with only mild squealing on the limits. The Clio 172 is a small pocket rocket, but these tires showed we need more HP - these definitely made the chassis perform!! Wet is very good, with high resistance to wheelspin. A little noisier than previous Pirellis which were not in the same class of tire. However, we do find the car torque steers more than before, pulling noticably from one side to the other under hard acceleration in 1st gear if the road has uneven camber.

Given 96% while driving a Mitsubishi Proton Gen2 CPS (215/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 1,000 spirited miles
Decided to purchase the RE003 after reading reviews from the internet. Compared to the previous tire, RE003 delivers extreme grip on dry tarmac, even when I drive through sharp corner in high speed. Tire noise is acceptable, not so irritating as written on some reviews. Its a track/performance tire with a price of street/normal driving. Absolute value-for-money purchase, definitely will buy it again.
