dont know if my tires are faulty but at high speed the rear of the car sways about, had run flats on prior to this and the handling was 100% better.

Excellent tires compared to the OEM Continental Contact Sport 2s. The grip in the wet is definatly the selling point of these tires and I can vouch for the superior handling they give in both the wet and dry. Also wear alot slower than OEM tires and previous tires.

A tire of compromise. It has sacrificed wear and road feedback for softer compound rubber giving excellent wet grip.

In my opinion after having gone through a set on a Subaru Impreza WRX I can say they are very good in the wet giving grip that you didn't think possible, but realistically on UK roads it'd be pretty foolish to drive "spirtedly" in the wet all the time.

In dry weather I have found the tires too soft, the feedback is not great and although they grip very well I didn't like the feel of them. When cornering they don't feel so connected as firmer tires.

The wear is excessive. I am no lunatic behind the wheel, but carry reasonable speed through bends of the welsh roads I drive and the tires have lasted 8000 miles which is too little for the price.

Although it'd be lovely to own a set of F1's for driving in heavy rain, I am sticking with bridgestone now as I don't push it in the wet, but like a reasonable mileage out of my tires for the money.

absolutely fantastic tire in every situation , cant believe im saying this but better than the Michelin Pilot Sport 2 by a long way especially in the wet also far superior to the older Goodyear Eagle F-1 GSD3 in the wet, will definately get again i just wish they made the tire in more sizes

Really impressed with these tires

Part worn Continentals gave a very hard ride and unbearable tire roar.

Michelin Sport SP2 were a great improvement, but could still be quite hard and certain types of bumps, and produced an intrusive, high-frequency, tire roar on anything other than perfect modern asphalt.

Enter Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics! At the optimal pressures, these give an amazingly smooth comfortable ride. Tire noise is much reduced. Stone and course surfaces produce little more than a low frequency rumble.

If you have a sport saloon and want a quiet, comfortable ride, Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics are highly recommended.

So far done 10k with these on the front of a heavy front wheel drive diesel and they are down to 6mm. Superb!

Good points.

Seem to work with car well, better than oem re050 rft and a step up from FK452.
Plenty of grip in the wet and dry, no more than other tires, but a wider yet enjoyable limit is noticeable in the wet and cold! Safer in winter, and more fun.
Wear is ok, similar to FK452 and RE050.

Bad points.
Expensive vs FK452 tires, but still cheaper than RFT RE050!
Still not as sharp responding as the RE050 RFT oem tire, but obviously none of the RFT's nasty lateral movement either.


Would get again, just want to try Bridgestone S001 next (similar price, but much newer tire)

Excellent in the dry but outstanding in the wet!

its very gut tire. the best of the curve.

Replaced the Bridgestone Potenza run flats with these tires (fronts went very quickly on the Bridgestones!) Much more flexible and a good replacment - more progressive - especially in the wet, however the rears have lasted not as well this time round less than 20,00 miles on motorways mostly. Found the fronts were very sensitive to suspension geometry and scrubbed a lot of the outer shoulders off - despite spot on toe-in etc.

Replaced the previous OEM Contis. Also had Avon tires previously, and must say that these tires are both quieter than both.

Dry grip is exceptional. Wet grip is no better that the Avon tires previoulsy fitted, however, I was pleased with the Avon tires.

Comfort is also greatly improved. However, I have paid to have these tires filled with nitogen, which apparently imrpoves comfort therefore it is not a direct comparison with my previous tires which were filled with good old "normal" air.

Would recommend these tires to anyone, especially if one drives "spirited". My car has been remapped to circa 300hp and the cornering grip when pushing hard is excellent, especially when nearing the limit.

Now done 11K miles and still have approx 5mm tread, which is not as good as the Avons, but a little improvement on the Continetals.

On the whole, my favourite tire to date.
