Alfa Romeo Mito Multiair (135 hp) 13 Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance given 70% (195-55-16-)

I bought these tires 5 years ago. From the very first day it was a bit of disappointment, compared to my previous tires (Goodyear excellence). The grip in both dry and wet conditions was not as good as the previous tires, the wheels were spinning at the start even in the slightest hill, the breaking was making me nervous whenever I needed an emergency stop, gliding for several meters even at very low speeds, and rarely I had a sensation of sliding during turning, especially on wet conditions, or poor quality of tarmac.

I was very satisfied though by its fuel consumption and its wear... Its performance didn't drop much during these 5 years (60000 km), although it wasn't very good in the first place.

I would not recommend this tire to anyone, except maybe someone who drives very carefully, in a very safe road and his only concern is a fuelsaving tire that will last, with minimum requirements, for 30.000-40.000 miles (50.000-60.000 km)

These tires are very good. They grip to the road very well. I can see myself go in corners very fast. Handling is perfect to my car. Road feedback is not great. Noise level is minimum. It is a comfortable ride. It absorbs bumps very well. It is not very responsive to my inputs but when it turns it just grips.

BOY have these things transformed my Alfa Romeo Mito 1.4 Multiair (135 hp) into a great handler! She was always very good indeed but with these things... wow... she grips excellently even in the wet now, let alone in the dry.

It's not only that. They are quiet, comfortable, wear fantastically well for my driving style, provide excellent feedback... I've been using them for 15 months now, they still look brand new, although I do check the alignment three times a year.

Will I buy again? Hands down and with eyes shut - definitely!!
