BMW M140i F20 Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport given 91% (245-35-18-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 10000 spirited miles
This is the best road tire I have ever used on my car. I used this tire for every day driving, road trips and trackdays and it is absolutely amazing.
On daily driving the tire is working absolutely fine and does have always grip. Except the temperature is below 10 degrees and it's wet. Than the tire struggles with grip. The michelin pilot sport 4s is here better.
But on the another hand, the tire is working also on a trackday very good. It doesn't have the ultimate grip like a cup2, but it is consistent, and it doesn't overhead. The grip is high, and the tire does not fall apart when driven hard. Also, the tire wear on a track or on a windy road is simply amazing! Even when if you drift, the tire wear is really good. I mean, when you drift, the wear is always high, but this tire was able to take some hard beating!

I would definitely buy it again, but goodyear stopped to produce this tire in my size.
But the feedback, the durability and the grip was absolutely amazing for a road tire!

Driving on a combination of roads for 8000 easy going miles
Very good all round performance. They are better in terms of performance than my previous Michelin PS5. However wear rate is poor. They are worn out after only 8000 miles of steady driving on the rear. The fronts are about half worn, so it seems that to make them perform Goodyear have used a very soft compound. I would be happy to sacrifice some ultimate grip for longer life on my next tires.

Driving on a combination of roads for 8000 easy going miles
The way this tire performs is exceptional. The limits of grip and adhesion are very high in all conditions. The tire is also quiet ands comfortable. However all of this seem to have come because they are made from a soft compound and they wear pretty fast. I don't drive particularly hard but at 8000 miles on the rear they are nearly on the wear bars. I will be looking to replace with something with more longevity, even if that means sacrificing some ultimate grip. The previous generation Assymetric 5 would fit the bill if I am able to source some.

Driving on a combination of roads for 3000 spirited miles
I bought my car with these tires. 225/40/18 front 245/35/18 rear. They were new, installed by the previous owner before selling the car. For shopping, commuting to work or short trips close to home, these tires are good. The problem begins when we want to go on a long trip on the motorway. After exceeding 60 miles per hour, the car jumps left and right on the road and a vibration can be felt in the steering wheel. It's impossible to balance these tires correctly. I am afraid to drive on the motorway because the car is completely unpredictable and drives as it wants. I can't imagine driving in heavy rain with these tires. The car is fast, it has 340 horsepower, and these poor tires make it no fun to drive. I do not recommend these tires.
