Ducati Multistrada 1200 Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Metzeler Roadtec 01 SE given 64% (190-55-17-)
Driving on mostly motorways for 6500 spirited miles
Fitted brand new Roadtec on my Miltistrada 1200s. Handling on dry was just perfect, sharp corners, fast coreners, feedback from the road just perfect. But, terrible grip on wet or dusty or any other non-pure-tarmac road. Lasted for about 10k km, with agressive style, 180km/h speeds, wheelie etc. But than, having around 1mm yet to wear started to get wholes in tire from any small piece of stone on road. Had 4 wholes during my last trip in mountains, and had to swap imeediately in the middle of nowhere.
Overall nice tire, for perfect roads only. Wouldn't sugest for those who plan to have long trips.

Driving on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
Excellent choice for twisty roads and track use. So long with the existing "set" have 8.000km's and are still 100% ready to race.... concerning the remaining Km's.
On the dry 10/10 but my surprise was huge on the wet, since the grip was very good for this category of tire. Handling on twisty roads is comparable to track use so is feedback. Only negative due to the "over" curve design the comfort isn't at the level of the overall performance. But other that the Power RS is a excellent choice for a combine way of use...!!! Well done Michelin!

I've had the 01's fitted to the Multistrada 1200 since February replacing PR4's and Angel GT's, compared to the others I found the Roadtec 01's to steer quicker but they were stable at speed and once leaned in.

The grip in the cold and wet was confidence inspiring and I had no problems riding in torrential rain, snow or just damp. Once the weather has warmed up I've been happy to explore the grip right up to the edge with no suprises.

They've lasted some 8000 miles on my Multi which is better than both the tires I replaced, so I'll definately be buying these gain.
