Normal driving on the XL version (judging by online inventories the default one produced) from proper snow and neg. C in Livland to warm dryness, 0 C slush and much less snow to around Regnum Hungariae. For winter tires in general they seemed to perform perfectly competently, although once did fail to get any traction on wet ice on a very slight incline, sadly expectable without studs. No noticeable noise increase compared to summers and no noticeable wear at all. Seemed rather heavy/substantial in hand and with a stiff sidewall. The latter characteristic might very well have saved one of the rims on a particularly crashy pothole, but also made for a subjectively unpleasant firmness in general in a car with an otherwise superb suspension (the Sport version at that). So much so that one actively avoided any manhole covers or other imperfections on the road surface, which then motivated an early sale before the second season. For reference, the replacements in the form of Continental TS 870 P provide vastly improved levels of comfort.

I wrote a review of these tires here on the 8th of October, 2014, saying basically that I was amazed by these tires, and that they would get another 15k miles, after a 23k miles use already, then.


In fact I was wrong. They are just now at the legal limit after a total of 39,440 miles! So I got 16,440 miles, more than the 15k more I thought I would get.

Their biggest advantage - they have lost NOTHING in terms of performance, I am utterly astonished and I will be fitting these again within a couple of weeks, they are ordered.

If your Jag S-Type needs new tires, these are the ones to go for, hands down...

I had been reading the reviews of the Nokian Line tire here and as my old Pirelli's needed changing, I decided to go for these.

It is obvious the previous reviewers weren't exaggerating... these tires have contributed to a total transformation of my 2002 Jag S-Type 3.0 V6 as far as aggressive driving is concerned, the grip they provide is far better than the Pirelli's I had, braking power immense, very little noise in the cabin, precise handling and feedback, and after 23,000 miles driven in an offensive manner (mostly), they are still at 3.0 mm both front and rear.

I am definitely going to get another set of these when the current ones are worn out, I am sure I'll be able to squeeze another 15,000 miles out of them easily. I'd easily say overall they are far better than what most Premium brands can offer, having tried both Goodyears, Conti's and Pirellis.

What a tire. Go for them hands down, don't bother giving it any thought - you'll be rewarded immediately. I know I was.

Forty years of driving performance cars.put these on my jaguar s type sport 18inch rims. These tires are excellent in all conditions streets ahead of many big brands.

Put them on my 2005 Jag s type. Do 15000 plus miles per year Ran Falkens and Kuhmos for a while as they are not bad. Fitted 235 x 35 x R17 Mayruns on front up to now cannot see any difference between p zeros or Flakens and they were only £75 each fitted.

These do last for ever and are very quiet .. But they have very poor grip when cold and very poor grip in the wet - they do not drive or feel like a 'premium tire'. I would not recommend them , especially not for a smaller vehicle. They appear to be designed for larger cars so as to enable enough heat to build in the tire.

Just changed off for my summer tires. Great all round tire , very responsive in the wet + wear seems v minimal after 5mnths daily usage .I found the tire quite noisy in comparison to the Pzero Rossos's they replaced but leaps and bounds ahead in wet grip .

Other Jag user notes tires noise levels, - I have found this statement to be true, in comparison to stock Pirelli's these are much noisier - they are on a par with my winter Nokians. That said these tires have impressed me so far, perhaps this is a little too soon to review as I am only a few hundred miles on, however I am already extremely impressed. I immediately noticed a significant improvement over the stock pzero rosso's . Dry grip is fantastic, it's hard to quantify but I would go as high as 25-30% better IMO. Wet grip is also much improved and gives me great confidence even in my heavy s-type. Stopping power is great - having nearly missed a turning on a 60 limit, I performed an emergency stop with little fuss or drama , whilst fully expecting to skid I pulled up short and had to coast up to the junction to turn. I hope there longevity\wear is as impressive as my initial impression of them .

I bought these due to the good reviews and I have to say, I'm very impressed thus far. First time with a 'budget' brand but compared to the previous Dunlop Sport Maxx tires I had, these are a revelation. I was interested to read that some people are finding these tires noisy (mainly Audi?) but on my car they're very much quieter than both the previous Dunlops and Pirelli P Zeros and have absolutely no trouble handling 245 Bhp through the rear wheels. I've also noticed that they are very 'tunable' by way of raising or lowering the pressures, but I personally prefer to keep them at the recommended minimum.These tires have changed my view about cheaper tires and I'd definitely buy them again.
