Nissan Silvia Tire Review Highlights

Driving on mostly motorways for 3000 spirited miles
Have these tires on my Nissan laurel and had them on my s14 silvia. Traction is incredible in the dry. Reasonable in the rain. Very quiet, very predictable tire. Price is a bit high, but compared what there is to lose, it's no question. Would by again or try the new ad09 when I get the chance.

Driving on mostly town for 10000 spirited miles
I've ran one set of these just on the front wheels and currently run them on all 4. Pretty solid in the dry but you won't get the most out of them unless you get them hot.... You won't be getting them hot from road driving quite frankly. In the wet these tires are quite dangerous. Very, very slippery and being semi-slick they like to hydroplane. Definitely exercise a lot of caution driving these in the wet, have to be very careful with acceleration around corners. These have nearly cost me my car after being the slightest bit too heavy on the throttle out of a very slippery corner. In short I only recommend these if you're looking for some cheaper tires that you can take to the track and drive around on through the week. They probably won't reach their ideal temperature from spirited mountain driving, so basically don't bother with these tires if you don't track your car at all. I don't think there's much to really compare these to at least around the smaller 195/55 R15 size I run, all other semi-slicks are more expensive and RE003's don't quite match the dry grip of these supposedly.

Writing about the Bridgestone Adrenalin RE002 given 85% (225-45-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 500 spirited miles
Fitted these to my Spec R S15 and what can i say... The car when i bought it had budget tires which i have no idea why with the car being what it is but anyway when fitting the RE002's they felt so good on the car, they are a fairly soft compound so i assume they will wear quicker than the average tire however saying that the softer compound means more dry grip, they are like glue on the road, i felt an instance difference when having them fitted and taking the car out, they also are very quiet and a comfortable tire even at speed. I tend to not drive the car in the wet as i also have a daily and i don't push the car in the wet either so can't really comment on this but overall i am very happy with the tires and would give them a definite 8/9 out of 10

Nothing to complain about. Absolutely love these tires - currently fitted on my Silvia S15. Previously had terrible tires which would constantly aquaplane & lose traction at as little as 60km/h. Switching to these has been a dream. Purposely have tried to lose traction by oversteering around corners - barely even squirms. Highly recommend.

Driving on a combination of roads for 3000 average miles
Absolutely horrendous tires. I bought my Silvia S15 about 2 months ago with these tires on the rear, i expected them to be pretty mediocre except much to my surprise they are OKAY in the dry - however the first time driving them in the wet I honestly thought I was going to die, I even pulled over for a bit. Aquaplaned every 30 seconds or so & even loses traction going 60km around a small bend.
I've since ordered Potenza Adrenalin RE003 which seem like amazing tires.

DO NOT purchase these tires unless you want a deathwish. I've never fully understood the importance of premium tires until experiencing the absolute atrocious quality of the SS595 Super Steels

Driving on a combination of roads for 100 spirited miles
First time Pirelli on my Nissan Silvia S15, bought two tires for rear (RWD)so I change my rear tires 3:1 front). I've heard good feedback from friends and family and driven cars with Pirelli's. It seems to grip very well in the dry and decent in the rain I haven't tried it in the wet in a RWD yet (will soon). The tires are making some sort of noise while I'm driving, I can hear some sort of sound something like a piece of plastic or paper is stuck onto tire. I only can hear it while driving along Jersey barriers, walls or inside a tunnel(Noise amplifies). I'm not sure if it's because they're new and needs to be worn or the tires. The noise isn't coming from the car because the noise only appeared after I got the new tires fitted onto my 2 rear tires (RWD I change my back tires 3 times before the front). I've heard good feedback from friends and family.

Driving on track for 20 spirited miles
used 6 sets of these tires on the rear of my drift machine(and NOT in a coned parking lot you silly americans, an accual track). let me tell you, they last forever! and if you didnt know already they use these tires in D1. i would highly recommend that you do not use these for the fronts at all, they do not provide enough grip for the needed control in drifting. i tried to use these while on a wet track, took a little bit to get used to and i dropped tire pressure from 54psi to 45psi and that helped a bit plus they lasted even longer on the wet track... man that was a fun day.

I have used these as both an all out drift tire and as a road tire. As a drift tire, they performed just fine, a little vague but they wore evenly and with no delamination at extreme temperatures. However as a road tire, I would never buy these again. Having gone from Maxxis MA-Z1's to these, they are just terribly unresponsive and uncommunicative. I actually found it scary to drive with these tires, grip was extremely low and completely unpredictable and sharp movements would take a noticeable amount of time to feel the rear of the car respond.
