Nissan Versa Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Continental ProContact given 21% (185-65-15-T)
Driving on a combination of roads for 500 easy going miles
ProContactE are noisy tire from Continental that constantly rumble into the ears of every occupant of the small Versa saloon car. It's not useful feedback, just annoying noise that's always present to interfere with conversation, or spoil the music you want to hear from the stereo. Tire noise always present while the car is moving, louder on some road surfaces than others.

Through the steering wheel, these tires feel sort of soggy as well, even on dry tarmac or concrete, whether cruising in a straight lane or sweeping around curves; in fairness they never actually slid off the road, they just felt soft and not precise at all. Yes, they were at the correct pressures recommended by Nissan. On soaking wet roads they seemed more inclined to wander or aquaplane/hydroplane than other tires on other cars in similar conditions unless speed was reduced. This particular rental car had about 15k miles, with the front Continentals about half worn in comparison to the rear pair, suggesting only 30k miles of useful life if rotated. In the 21st century, there are much better, quieter, grippier tires to choose than these.

Writing about the Michelin Energy Saver Plus given 74% (195-60-15-H)
Driving on a combination of roads for 35000 average miles
I have Energy saver+ replaced my OEM BS B250 tire since 2013 Mar. It runs 50000 KM since then. Overall it's a better than average tire. After 40,000 km (25 K miles), it becomes more noisy and unpredictable in wet. Until 50,000 km the drain depth is about 3.5 mm, but overall grip lost 30% up. This is very natural in all tires. It's up to driver to stay with this or replace it to your driving habit. I would say the first 40,000 km, this tire worth every pence you spent. After 40,000 km, overall performance drops daily and better replace them.
