Peugeot 207cc Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Kumho Ecsta HS52 given 90% (205-55-16-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 500 average miles
So I will be comparing it to the last 2 sets of tires before the Kumhos. Toyo proxes cf2 & Nokian Line. So middle/ upper middle class tires.

First of all sound; l would say all 3 have a similar level of road sound, which is remarkably low. And that reminds me when l tried Kumho KU31 back in 2015 which was so hard & loud, so that’s a huge improvement for Kumho in that section.

Then comes the comfort, and l believe that the HS52 is midway between being too soft+ comfortable & too hard+tough. And that suits my driving on a combination of different roads and conditions.

Being in the summer, I haven’t tried the wet grip yet but the dry grip is decent and l feel safe driving the car near it’s limits.

It’s too early for me to comment on the longevity but l will update that later on.

Overall, l’m satisfied with my purchase and l believe that the HS52 is an excellent value for money amongst most competitors.

Fitted under a 207cc, on rear axle only, for 50 Euro each. I'm not much satisfied. They are good for low to normal driving style, but not for sport driving, especially on moist and wet tarmac. I feel they loose grip even if not immediately. Noise and wear are OK I've had and still have budget tires under my other cars, and they are quite good, but not these P609. I won't buy them again, there are other good budget tires at the same price.

Driving on mostly country roads for 5000 spirited miles
I had read a lot of reviews before I bought these tires and was a little sceptical but, because of the price point, I thought I'd give them a go over the winter and they replaced 4 Continental sportcontact 5's. They took a little getting used to. I played around with pressures until they felt right. I think most of the negative reviews stem from underpressured tires. You have to ignore the manufacturer's pressure recommendations and find the pressures to suit you car with this tire. For example, Peugeot state 2.5 bar front and back for the 207cc. Once I'd got the pressures right (2.4 bar for the back and 2.6 bar for the front) these tires turned into the best tire I have ever had on a car. They performed extremely well in all road conditions and are especially good in the wet. They surprised me by having lots of grip in snow too. On fast corners they stick to the road like glue in bot the wet and dry. As for wear, I have done around 5k miles since Agust 2017 and there is no signiificant sign of wear - still on 7mm, I expect to get over 15k miles out of them. I will never buy another brand of tire for this car. Love them

Driving on a combination of roads for 8000 easy going miles
4 tires fitted April 2015, rears fine but fronts will need replacing quite soon, less than 8,ooo miles completed, very disappointing even though I understand these are budget tires. Fitted to Peugeot 207cc GT, normal driving with no wheel spin, fast corners etc. Definitely will not buy again.

not sure i will buy these again at ?129.00 each, real shame they wear so badly, but i guese you have to pay for the safety, i feel really secure on all types of road with these tires, when you hit a bend you can feel them gripping the road, superb handling, had them from brand new, back ones are getting near the limit too, might go for a another option, any tips guys on the next best thing ?,

Tires ok in dry and very good in the wet, but tire wear is excessive. Fronts needed replacing at 7,000 miles which is expensive as approx ?130 each!

I've had continental tires on 2 new cars now and tire wear has been excessive on both. Other brands last much longer. Also found the continentals to be very noisy.
