Driving on mostly country roads for 14000 spirited miles
I have had these tires on all 4 wheels of my car since March 2023 and after driving 22,000 kilometers with them I can rate their performance as quite acceptable.
I do 80-85% of my km on national roads with little unevenness, about 70km a day to go to work. I usually go at the legal speed of 90-100km / h but from time to time to overtake I usually reach 120-130 and I also brake little. I have an average consumption of 5.6L per 100 with a 1.5Tsi of 150cv and Manual...to give you an idea. Well, after these km, the front wheels still need 2mm to reach the 1.6mm wear indicator and the rear ones about 5mm, so there is still a long way to go, which is why with these wheel sizes it is rare to do more than 24-25 thousand km with just one set of tires on the front. The grip on dry roads is decent or quite good, on wet roads it could be improved, as it has happened to me on 3-4 occasions that when starting off in 1st gear from a standstill in the wet, the wheels have skidded when I tried to start off a bit fast. But generally speaking, for normal driving, it does the trick! In sportier driving it is a bit fair and not entirely advisable as it does not give me confidence to go to the limit (I am talking about taking curves in 3rd-4th gear at more than 90-110 km. In sections where in theory it would be prohibited to go more than 80 km per hour). The conclusion is that for what they cost they are frankly good since I paid for them fitted and balanced in my car about €320 for the 4. So everyone can draw their own conclusions...

Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 spirited miles
I bought this tire as a replacement for a Semperit Speed Grip 3 and can so far only say positive things about it.
In live in Austria, so we have a good chance of snowy conditions and in fact that what happened right now. In snow and sow muddy conditions this tire is really excellent and I have all levels of grip I expect. It is also very nice to drive and - very important - predictable. This is also the biggest difference to the Semperit, which often left me uncomfortable in the snow as the car would slide and loose grip randomly. So the Goodyear is really great in those circumstances.
In the wet and dry I experience it more close to the Semperit, which is also not a bad thing as it was a good tire in those conditions. I was only hoping for it to be a little more sporty.
Can't tell about wear so far.
Comfort levels are OK ... again in the range of the Semperit.
So in a nutshell it feels like the Semperit with much better levels of grip in the snow and slightly better grip in the wet. I was still hoping for a little more separation between the two given the Semperit is considerably cheaper and 5 years older, but the Goodyear is definitely an upgrade and I consider it a.good buy.

It feels like a new car, the previous tires were Bridgstone Potenza S001 and the PS5 is so much better in almost every way. The handling is not as good, but the rest makes up for it. The tires are almost impossible to spin up. To me they manage the perfect balance between highway and country road driving and sprited driving. When there are some curves the car is fun to drive but on longer trips it doesnt get annoying.

The wear rate in the beginning is pretty significant, i bought the car used, so i cant provide exact rates, but the rate slows down as the tire gets older. But it also gets way worse, the wet traction is horror. The dry performance is pretty good and the handling is quite nice, but that is to the expense of comfort. You can really feel any bump in the road and it ruins the experiance on longer drives in my Seat Leon FR from 2018.
