the first time after a long time. I was very pleased. strongly suggesting friends who are thinking. wet and dry performance is amazingly good. I took it to the street and the runway. and I use it from both sides. I will definitely take it again. road holding and reactions after tire heating are absolutely necessary.

So far i have had these on for about 2 days all corners. They are fitted to a small car with over 200bhp. I havent took the car through its paces yet, as just letting the tires bind in. I shall update this in the near future, but cornering has seriously improved and there are less wheel spins from 2nd gear, which i was previously getting with my previous tires. I shall not mention their make and model, as they were used tires that were on the car. What i did notice is the onboard computer showing more fuel consumption. Meaning the tires before were showing 55mpg to 65+mpg. Currently they are showing 45-55+mpg. This maybe because there is more Rolling resistance compared to the previous tires which had noticably less grip. And also the new tires need to wear in.

Went through a few puddles.on the motorway, at speed and did not notice any aqauaplanning, so pretty safe in the wet and thats how they are meant to be. The steering wheel doesnt vibrate at all, which i was previously experiencing.

If i can i will add to this and inform if they have improved or if there was a regression in their performance.

Currently i am at a happy place with these tires, and would fit them again and recommend them with full credibility, and they dont cost much at all.

I really rate these tires and have had them on the same car for 5 years plus now (just replaced them again with T1R's) Due to winter tires too I reckon the first set did 20k+ via rotation. The Leon came with Conti sport contact when when and were pretty much slaughtered after 15k (pre mapped). The T1R's lasted more than 20K on a mapped vehicle pushing out 200bhp as opposed to stock 150bhp. Torque is about 330lbs/ft. They are a good compromise between grip and wear. I would recommend the XL tires too as these are stiffer walls. I couldn't comment on the std items as have always run on XL's

While this may be a combination of me being fussy and a characteristic of the softer compound, they feel a little bit spongy when going over speed blobs (the narrow blob-style speed humps) if you hit them off-centre, and pot holes on corners. Otherwise, they have exceeded my expectations of a cheap tire. I had them on from around the start of December last year until about May/June this year when I got round to taking them off and the wear rate is much less than I expected, considering the condition of the roads I use.

These tires have lasted almost twice as long (20,000 miles)on the front two wheels as some other similar premium brand tires and have much better wet weather grip.
They do give quite a firm ride which can mask the road feedback a little at times although they are quiet, but they are the tire I've been most happy with so far.
They don't give fantastic forward grip in the snow but they are not a winter tire.
I have also tried Goodyear F1 GSD3's and Vredestein Ultrac on the front of this car (Seat Leon TDi Cupra 150).

Prior to these I had always used Pirelli's and initially the difference was quite a shock, the ride was far better but grip much reduced, and the feedback through the steering was that of quidgyness and general imprecion. The pluses are good noise levels and slow wear, but if you enjoying outright grip then look elsewhere!

If money was no object i'd buy these time and time again, however getting 2500 miles from a set of 'road tires' is not something I can afford when they're ?130 each.

It's not that they're no good or that the car doesn't handle well - it's just that you can see 4 streaks of soft rubber coating every roundabout you've just been round and when you're in Milton Keynes .... that's a lot of roundabouts.

In short if you are heavy footed, drive a car with a heavy front end and don't own shares in Goodyear - look elsewhere as these just don't last.
