Great tire for the money. If you buy these when they're on a deal from tirestreets in the UK you can't beat them got the entire set of 4 for £220. I don't do track days etc but for driving daily and bit of B road fun they're great.

Very impressive tire that seems to have it all! It almost seems like the perfect tire! Grippy (wet & dry), strong sidewalls, superb braking, very quiet(!), hydroplaning resistance high... all in one tire. Would definitely buy again and again!

Having previously commented on how they were on the track I have now put a few more miles on them on the road. They were terrible to start with but after the first lot of thread was worn down (i.e. half worn) they gripped better but since the cold weather has appeared they are all over the place, tramlining badly, giving that horrible driving on marbles feel...and spin up at the slightest sign of torque. Cannot recommend these tires on a Saab 9000 aero at all.

This is the second set of Neros I've fitted and am still very happy!! Astounding dry traction, only tire I've ever fitted that doesn't spin up at the slightest provocation out of corners ( fwd and over 250bhp). Car seems really balanced and easy to control on the limit, a limit that takes some nerve to find in the dry.. ;0) Wet traction still very good for a high performance tire, wet braking is an absolute revelation for this type of tire.... Tires suit this vehicle perfectly and don't seem to suffer the sidewall roll that some competitors do in high G corners when fitted to heavy saloons... Only tires fitted on this vehicle that came close in the past were Toyo T1R but the Neros lasted significantly longer and worth the price premium IMO.

Driving on track for 500 spirited miles
This is not a road test opinion just what I experienced using them at a recent trackday. They were scrubbed in for a 150+ miles. Track was dry and very grippy but the tires just slid everywhere, I don't mind oversteer in my FWD car but these tires just refused to grip at all. The tread whilst looks cool just folds over and heats up to much and spins and slides under any sort of provication. My car is putting out a fair bit of hp/torque but have never experienced such a lack of grip on other makes of tires being used in similar circumstances. Whilst they probably are okay for the road (and I'm still assessing them) I should have bought the cheaper Toyo T1-R's which are IMO a far better tire definitely on the track and more than likely on the road too.

I fitted these tires to my 9000 aero. I used them for my recent trackday at RAF Marham. Second lap the back end started to step out on the sweeping left hander. Car didn't feel as secure compared to when I was running road tires Toyo T1-R's.
Came in and altered tire pressures from 36 psi to 30 psi, didn't make much difference. Midway thru the third session the front nearside tire de-laminated and the upon inspection the offside front was badly worn also.
I did 2 full days previously at this track with the Toyo's and the fronts lasted the whole two days. These pirellis lasted less than an hour on the track and didn't give any more noticeable grip than the road toyos which lasted the full 2 days and over 200 track miles.
My car puts out 287hp, approx 350 lb.ft torque and runs a LSD. Whilst this is all thru the front wheels and is hard on tires in general i would never use these Pirellis again. A total waste of my money.
