Driving on
a combination of roads for 12000
spirited miles
I ran a set of the Evoluzion ST1s on my '96 Impreza coupe - I was just looking for an inexpensive, capable summer tire for daily driver duties and some fun on the back roads. I got exactly what I wanted. Dry grip was fantastic, I never found their limits despite being quite aggressive when it comes to attacking entertaining on/off-ramps or a windy road. I was *very* surprised to see the "2022 Tire Reviews UUHP Summer Tire Test" rate the tires so poorly, as that doesn't match my impression of them at all.
My only complaint about the tires was that they didn't last long at all. I suppose miles/dollar wasn't too bad, but for a lightweight car doing a mix of highway and around town driving I would have expected better life. Despite that, I would've bought another set, but I couldn't find them in the US in my size, so I'll be trying a different tire on the car this year.
