Toyota FJ Cruiser Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Kumho Road Venture AT52 given 100% (225-45-17-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 100 spirited miles
Well, partly on the basis of this test (one of two I found), I bought these (31/10.5-15 - not whatever is shown, my size wasn't an option & nor was NA - fitted to a 1979 FJ 55 Landcruiser). Motivation was that I didn't require great off road performance (first gear 2WD high range around my paddocks is about as hard as it gets) but was interested in road handling & braking, especially in the wet, on bitumen roads when I use the Cruiser as a truck, carting or towing things.
In anecdotal reinforcement of Jonathan's remarks, it's a delight on these parameters of appraisal - decidedly the best tire I have fitted in 25 years of use of the Cruiser.

Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 easy going miles
I fitted on my 4x4 a set of kumho at52 tires
I was expecting a lot from this tire unfortunately i was highly disappointed.
I do not recommend this tire. Its a trap it only works well the first year. I would definitely go back to BFGoodrich AT tires toughest all terrain tire ever.

Driving on a combination of roads for 50000 average miles
Comfortable tire with softer compounds than many, minimal splitting/cracking over lifetime. If rotated and inflated properly they will last for +80000km. Very tough and hard wearing. I have done multiple desert trips on my last set and not even a puncture. Been all over the southern and northen flinders ranges, SA, very sharp, rocky terrain and they are a great tire for this and excellent in heavy mud. Not really noticed problems in the wet unless trying to go too fast and needing to brake suddenly but performs as well as any other 4wd tire I've used. Excellent value for the price point.

I love how these Wanli tires allowed me to save up 10x more. Quality is very okay for it's price. Would recommend these over other brands especially for normal and casual daily city driving! You won't be needing to spend much when it's just city driving. Wanli tires are your best option. Don't even go with other china brands. im so satisfied with my Wanli's.

Driving on a combination of roads for 20 spirited miles
If you need a tire to take you anywhere your vehicle is capable of going, this is the tire that will get you there. I've driven thousands of miles on the open road across terrain from rough pot-holed city streets to mud, sand, gravel, snow and 12000 feet above sea level crossing the Rocky Mountains and exploring desolate regions of Southern Utah in winter, at times making my own road. I would have have trusted my life to these tires when help would either have taken days to reach me or not at all. I rarely run a set of mud terrain type tires more than a couple of years (averaging 15,000 miles/year) and when it's time for my next set I will be reordering these. I only wish the raised black letter outlines came in white so I wouldn't have to paint them myself.
