Toyota Sienna Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Kumho WinterCraft WS71 given 88% (235-55-18-)
Driving on mostly motorways for 37000 average miles
I had these tires fitted to my 3rd gen Toyota Sienna AWD and have been driving with the same vehicle for the past four years, all up I would've had these tires on for a good 30000kms over that period and switched between summer and winter tires every 6 months. For summer I ran Goodyear EfficientGrip SUV HP01.

These tires gave me the confidence to take on slush when wet and cold dry. Where I lived was typically dry during winter but could get cold (I've seen down to -21 celsius) with some good snow days. My driving was typically long sweeping roads and highways with some dodgy farm roads thrown into the mix - these tires took it all in their stride.

I was able to drive through the last cold season on the original set. Suffered a few punctures but that's more due to unavoidable road debris (nails etc.) than the tires themselves. I've added that this is an end-of-life review as they were nearing replacement but it was also when I sold the vehicle (I gave the tires to the next owner).

If I still lived in a country that would frequent sub-zero temperatures I wouldn't hesitate to buy these tires again.

Driving on mostly town for 7000 easy going miles
Only got 7,000 miles out of the tires.
Warranty Was 55,000 miles and company will not stand by tires. Will not ever buy any tire from Kelly again.

Writing about the Michelin Primacy 4 Plus given 56% (235-60-17-)
Driving on mostly motorways for 80000 miles
Tires are suppose to last 80,000 so they said on the warranty. Rotated every oil changes. Drove only 30,000 and now need replacement. Too expensive and doesn't back up what the tires advertised. Goodyear or Dunlop are better. Going back to them, they back it up with what the preach. What a disappointment!

Driving on mostly town for 14000 easy going miles
Absolutely the worst tire in the rain. Even if road is a little wet from a previous rain they can’t grab the road. Even at 25 mph going up a hill unable to grab the road if it’s the least bit slick. I worry about my safety

Writing about the Bridgestone Turanza T005 given 60% (225-45-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 80 easy going miles
I bought these tires for my wife's Toyota Sienna van. We got them because we wanted a quiet ride and they were top rated for quiet. However, after proper rotation and 17K total mileage, they are completely worn out. Bridgestone gave me some credit but not enough. I WILL NEVER BUY BRIDGESTONE AGAIN. The tires and warranty are terrible.

Driving on mostly town for 80000 average miles
Terrible tires. I purchased brand new from Costco and maintained properly with tire rotations at 5k along with inflating to manufacturer recommendations. The tires are 80k warranty and they did not last 30k… I do not recommend them.

Tires slip in the rain and handle pretty badly.

Driving on a combination of roads for 27000 spirited miles
I love these tires. This is actually my second set. The first set lasted about 27,000 miles. The dry traction is excellent but the wet traction is equally as good. I went from complete hydroplaning to complete traction. It is awesome especially since my car is fwd. I highly recommend these tires. The only drawback is that they are not cheap. I have these on a Toyota Sienna SE and I always drive spirited.

Just installed the G Fit AS to my Toyota Sienna which was previously using Hankook Optimo. Very reasonable price and the G Fit AS looks like Optimo, drives like Optimo and feels like Optimo. I'm happy for now just have to drive enough mileage to compare this Indonesia version of "Optimo".

Driving on mostly motorways for 45000 spirited miles
I use these on a Toyota Sienna minivan. The 1st and 2nd winter, these tires were AMAZING! Better than Nokian, Michelin, Gislaved, and other winter tires I have used, not by a margin but exceeded all brands by a wide margin. The, and now the 4th and final winter, the original stunning performance has naturally declined with wear. BUT, just tonight, which is what fiannly spurred me to write a review, I was lightly rear ended by a Subaru Legacy with OEM Bridgestone Turanza's. Then about an hour later, I passed a pack of vehicles. One 4x4 pulled out in an attempt to keep up with me. After 2 minutes, where I increased my speed to about 55-60 mph, he suddenly began to swerve back and forth, then careened into the ditch. This is with 5/32 on the front's and 4/32 on the rear. Even at the end of their service life, these tires are outperforming aforementioned brands when they were new. And I just can't believe how many SUV's and 4x4's I pass in the snow and ESPECIALLY on the ice, where these put all season's to absolute shame. My only complaint is price. Here in WI in the USA, they are harder to find and thus more expensive. That said the Wintrac Xtreme 4's are far and away some of the best tires I have ever owned. Will be hunting down new pair for next winter.
