Volkswagen Arteon 2,0L Tsi Tire Review Highlights

Been using this tire for the past 1.5 years. Had to change it as the tires were making humming sounds. It started to get louder over time (towards the last 2 weeks of usage). Despite the tread life of each tires having at least 50% left to use, the humming sound was just too loud and kept increasing. I do perform tire rotations & balancing every 10,000km to ensure its even. Total mileage used 25550km (15876 miles). Since the pricing for these tires are so good, I decided to get them replaced with brand new S2's again.

These tires are amazing and the pricing just makes it an awesome deal. Its decently quiet, comfortable and has a great grip on both dry and wet. Its a perfect tire for daily commuting with spirited driving. Braking is excellent and the response/feel on the road is great. I recommend these tires and suggest you try these out and get a feel of it. In the Giti tire range, I would suggest you try their top range only (Sport S2 & Control P10), and if your tracking it would be (GTR3).

Youtube doesnt have much reviews on this tire, thus you would likely be searching on this website (like I have) in terms of reading reviews on this tire. Half the price of Goodyear F1A6 / Pilot Sport 5 / Conti Sport Contact 7, however the moment its fitted onto your vehicle, you will feel its as premium as these brands as well.

Great overall !

Had to replace my P Zero tires at 40,000km (screws, pot holes etc.) Buying a set of 4 of these was $200 less than 2 P Zeros tires.
The economy has dropped a little.
Road noise is slightly up.
Handles good in a 300hp AWD car.
Same Speed rated as more expensive tires.

Driving on a combination of roads for 10 average miles
The car came fitted with this tire and after about 10k km I think that I can share my opinion with them. To start with the good things i will say that the tire is comfortable, has low fuel consumption(my 2.0tsi arteon cand average between 5-5.5l/100km when driven normally) , not very noisy and the wear is very good(yes they have aprox. 6.5-6.7 when new but after 10k km they have worn less than 1mm). Emergency braking în dry on normal and rough tarmac is good but over very smooth roads it is shockingly bad. The dry handling is also average and If you start to push the car înto bends it does lean and start to understeer quiet a lot(fwd car may also influence this, but it does seem a bit much). Without a doubt the worst part of the eco contact 6 is its wet grip. I haven't had any issues with aquaplaning but the wet traction is horrible. I can barely start from a standstill at anything but a sedated pace without wheelspin. Also at one time I could barely crawl to a start on a hill during a rainy day with the esp kicking in multiple times.
All in all I think that if you want a comfortable, efficient tire that is not noisy and you drive sedately this tire might satisfy your needs. But if you are driving a relatively heavy car and looking for a tire that has above average grip and are concearned about handling I think that there are much better options out there.

Tire performed well all round and wore very well. However I am not an aggressive driver which helps.

I used to use evo 2 before, evo 3 completed the disadvantages of evo2 and had tires that offered excellent driving experiences.

Fitted to my VW Arteon ex showroom.
Extremely noisy on sibbed roads. I mean EXREMELY NOISY. Impossible to hear and car seems ready to disintegrate.
Minor joints in the tarmax feel and sound like potholes.
