Volkswagen Crafter Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Continental ContiVanContact 200 given 61% (205-70-16-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 8000 miles
Decent grip wet and dry but wear rate is very high.

Driving on mostly country roads for 20000 easy going miles
Hilly super 2000 on my motorhome, absolutely junk, unsafe, separating and forming lumps, and blow without warning. Loadrating of 1000 kg but nowhere near that. Do yourself a favour and buy a proper manufactured tire like bridgestone it Michelin if you don't want to jeopardize your safety!!!

Writing about the Nexen Roadian CT8 given 86% (235-65-16-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 20 average miles
Nexen Roadian CT8 are the tires I bought instead of previous Infinity tires, which were horrible.
CT8 are actually great choice for the price, I will most probably buy them again. Two seasons done perfect with them, I believe around 30.000 km.

Writing about the Pirelli Chrono Winter given 100% (235-65-16-)
Driving on mostly town for 2000 average miles
Ok, I have a VW Crafter and had Infinity tires before these ones. Those were horrible. Dangerous even on dry, not to mention wet, mud or snow - on snow I would rather rent another van and leave my own at home.
Anyway, I was looking for a cheap way out to buy tires because this van is not the primary vehicle of mine. Hence, found these Pirelli Chrono Winter at half price because 6 years old DOT, but new ones: were stored at good conditions in the seller's storage.
Never had better tires. They grip on mud, wet, dry, snow, ice, they look great, are quiet, lowered fuel consumption, and I can't really think of one complaint. I've put this van back in business. Highly recommended tires. I'm hooked to Pirelli now.

Well, they were cheap. We had some other Infinity tires on another van and were pretty pleased by them. These tires on a VW Crafter van were not good. The van is very light at the rear when empty and with these tires I could make a drift. Good thing we are good drivers, me and my bro. Maybe they work better on some smaller or heavier van.
