Volvo S80 T4 Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Fulda SportControl 2 given 80% (235-35-19-V)
Driving on a combination of roads for 4000 spirited miles
Bought 2nd hand for my ASA TEC GT4 wheels in 235/35/19. Fitted on my 2001 Volvo S80 2.4T with about 230BHP. They impressed me very much, and to be honest I didn't expect much from the tire. But they are a good all round tire and at the same being friendly for the wallet because 19 inch tires don't come cheap (if you want some quality). I don't ask the maximum from tires, but they are confidence inspiring (in the wet & dry). Im from the Netherlands, the summers are getting a bit hotter, but there is still a lot of rain throughout the year. I will be replacing them soon as they have about 2mm left, but I enjoyed them a lot.

Driving on mostly motorways for 15000 spirited miles
In my view these are perfect touring tires, by that I mean super comfortable, high mileage very, very quiet. Perfectly suited to big saloons, estates and those that do lots of motorway miles. If you value comfort and little road noise choose these. If you want a taught fine handling performance tire you won't like these. Dry grip is excellent and wet grip is good but not inspiring, these tires WILL let you throw a car around a corner but not they a taught handling tires, they are at their best cruising where you should get 25,000 miles+ lufe

These are the worst performing tires that I ever had in my whole life. The tires are hard and bumpy. Considering the high prices one has to pay for these tires and the performance of the tires is definitely not one would expect.
I couldn't bear the noise and hardness of these tires, as I had lost all the comfort that I suppose to get from my new Volvo. In the end, I removed all these tires and replaced with GT Radial Champiro HPY. Now,I'm very happy and delighted after switching to GT tires. These GT tires are really value for money and they're "Y" rated i/o "W" rated.
