195/40 16 Tire Review Highlights

Federal 595EVO rated 63% while driving a Mazda mx 5
Driving on a combination of roads for 3500 spirited miles
Used on the front of my turbo mx5 drift car that i also daily drive,on the road they were pretty good with good feed back, not so good in the wet but were bought as summer tires and they were good enough in the wet to not cause a issue with normal driveing, once on track i was very impressed with the turn in response grip and feed back, they did wear quicker than i exspected but for the grip they offered and the even wear rate i was very impressed, once i was finished with them i tried other tires and i will be going back to these in the summer!

Dunlop SP Sport 9000 rated 36% while driving a Mazda Mazda Miata
Driving on a combination of roads for 1500 spirited miles
I tried these tires thinking they would be great as they were the most expensive in the size im restricted too, for daily driveing they were ok but when pushed they would let go pretty quickly and the wear rate was pretty poor. I used them on the front of my turbo mx5 drift car that i also daily, on the road and pottering about they were go but once on the track and started pushing they were really bad, iv used alot of other tires that were far cheaper and far superior, they would loose grip with little warning and would wear quickly but in chucks of tire, most tires wear evenly as they scrub up but these fell apart, wasnt impressed, i know i pushed them hard but they juat didnt hold up to their reputation.

amazing grip in wet and dry no understeer at all but they wear after 6000k miles but back lasted 12k, all round very good for grip if you drive hard :)

Yokohama S Drive rated 90% while driving a SEAT Arosa
Driving on mostly town for 500 spirited miles
had them fitted the day i drove my fam to worchester. was one hot day at 26*c which we can safely say is unlikely in th UK!

dry grip is good, didnt get a big a lateral movement when overtaking lorries which is a +. response is sharp, holds it's own at 30-40, lets me turn in more aggressively later.

very very quiet from 60+, def beats the budgets i killed my last set of alloys with. no shaking at any speeds up to 100(god bless motorways). it is, as others have said, a little rigid but use ur brain, lower the psi!! i like feeling th road but being th UK, potholes, lane dividers and outright crazy speed bumps do make u bounce n hit u hard

i did push it to skid around 45 into a sharp right. needed a handbrake to straighten up but i knew how ,when and it behaved nicely

had a little measure and after 500 miles of frankly irresponsible testosterone driven fun and somehow, there's still 8mm of tread?checked hot and cold and still th same?

i'm happy to have moved up to yokohamas, and this tire. as my first mid range tire, i cant say it's better then anything except i've had a great oepning 500 miles worth of time with them . it can only get better!

Pirelli PZero Nero rated 83% while driving a Peugeot 106
Driving on a combination of roads for 9000 spirited miles
Great tires, best I've ever used and haven't had the sliding problems mentioned by other people here.
Better than my old kuhmo ecsta supras, but only marginally and I'm unsure as to whether they merit the extra money.

definitely recommended though!
